Poem about a ball

I always wondered why.

The dog is chasing it.

The child is chasing it.

The cat is chasing it.

I never had an answer why.

Maybe because it is round?

Maybe because it spins on its own?

Maybe because the earth is round?

Thousands of people are chasing the ball.

Football.

Basketball.

Handball.

Tennis ball.

Golf ball.

Water polo ball.

But, what is a ball?

It's all about the ball!

Small or big ball,

does not matter.

We're all chasing it.

It definitely remains a mystery!
