April Dump!
April 30, 2022
It's the time of the month again when we would tally our earnings to track how much we earned. This is for us to know if we achieved our goals or not. Also, it would allow us to have a look at how much we earned though some of us have already spent it even before the end of the month.
Today is the last day of April. How cool is that? Tomorrow we will be welcoming a new month with renewed hope. I hope we will also sail by May without experiencing such heartbreaking scenarios we had in April.
Let's take a look at how my April went:
On the fourth day of April, I visited an echo that is new to me. It was a high school but to me, its wideness can be likened to that of a university. If I would be employed there, I think it would take me months for me to be able to familiarize the buildings and the rooms. On that same trip, I met my cousin. She is close to my sister since they shared a room at the university but we also get along. What I like about this cousin of mine is that she treats me like her younger sister. We shared lunch and took a detour to visit a majestic place. I wasn't able to clock in for work in the afternoon as I have planned but guess what? I didn't regret any moment I spend outside my workplace that day. It's the therapy that I never thought that I would need.
Sometimes, we need to say 'yes' to a random getaway invitation from our friends and leave work like a boss. lol
Two days after that trip, I took a leave from work again to have my demo teaching and interview at Deped. This time I was with my sister. That was my third attempt and I have high hopes that this time, I will be hired. *fingers crossed. Shoo away the negativities.
Three days after, tropical storm Agaton hit the region. It was not that strong compared to Odette. The reason why it is just categorized as a tropical storm but it left a hole in the heart of every resident living in Leyte specifically Baybay and Abuyog. The tropical storm caused heavy rains that were non-stop and later caused landslides in some areas. Some roads and bridges were unpassable at that time. Oh, I can only smile and thank God for the bittersweet memory I had when we crossed the thin, muddy road that if you look at the side you can see the brown and deep floodwater.
Also, in that same week, I learned that my sister spend the time on the island. While everyone is having a hard time because of the non-stop rain, there she is stuck also at the island. I'm just grateful that some people were kind enough to provide shelter for them and they were able to come home safe and unscathed.
In that same week, people from the same country as mine observed the Holy Week. We all enjoyed the extra two days spent at home or elsewhere at the beach. Some spent the time visiting churches while others used their free time to catch up with family members and make memories. We also never failed in making preparing the best delicacy suited for the occasion. We all prepared binignit. How do you spell it? Regardless of the spelling, I know we all share the same value, love and craving for food.
Later in April, we had a quick road trip with my roomie as she asked me to take photos of her while she is full gear. It was also during the same month when my niece experienced going to school and being with a lot of kids.
Overall, April disappeared like thin air. It was so fast and I wasn't able to keep track of the days. Anyway, April provided me a handful of good experiences except the one in which we experienced the tropical storm.
How about you? How did your April went?
Thanks for your time. Until the next read!
April had been good and glad you were able to go on a random get away. I wish you the best on your application via DepEd.
