This year, three scientists are being awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for their research on black holes. Today, Tuesday, the Royal Swedish Academy announced the names of the three winners of the Nobel Prize in Physics. They are Roger Penrose of Oxford University in the United Kingdom, Reinhard Gengel of the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics in Germany, and Andre Gage of the University of California, Los Angeles.

In a press release, the Nobel Committee stated that Roger Penrose had been awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery of a "strong hypothesis of the theory of black hole relativity." He will receive half of the Nobel Prize. The total value of the prize is 10 million Swedish kronor (about 11 lakh 23 thousand dollars). Reinhard Gengel and Andre Gage will receive the remaining half of the prize. They are being rewarded for discovering the existence of a large black hole in the center of our galaxy.

One British and two American scientists have been awarded the Nobel Prize this year for their important discoveries about the black hole, the most amazing concept in the universe. All three have made significant contributions in this regard. Roger Penrose has shown through his research that the theory of general relativity gives the idea of the birth-process of a black hole. And Reinhard Gengel and Andre Gage discovered the existence of an invisible and very heavy object at the center of our solar system, which controls the motion of the stars under it. Scientists think that this invisible but very heavy object is a very strong black hole.

The legendary scientist Albert Einstein rocked the whole world many years ago with his theory of relativity. Roger Penrose has proved with mathematical reasoning that black holes are a direct part of this theory. When Einstein gave this theory of relativity, he never believed in the existence of black holes. Interestingly, Roger Penrose was awarded the Nobel Prize for his work on the existence of black holes in his theory.

Sir Roger Penrose, a British scientist, is currently working as an Emeritus Rose Ball Professor of Mathematics at Oxford University in the United Kingdom. Born in 1931, the scientist is also an Emeritus Fellow at Wham College, Oxford University and an Honorary Fellow at St John's College, Cambridge University. In 1956 he received his PhD from Cambridge University. He has already been awarded many honors for his important work on black holes.

A black hole is a supermassive mass of matter that is much smaller than its mass and has a very high density. As a result, it pulls everything to its center. Even light cannot ignore its attraction, so no light comes out of such an object. As a result, it is out of sight. Intense attraction is the primary evidence of its existence.
