Asia has the five largest banks in the world in terms of assets. The first four banks are owned by China and the fifth by Japan. In addition, 10 of the top 23 banks in the region. Of these, six are from China and four from Japan.

S&P Global Intelligence has recently published the annual ranking of the world's largest banks. The list includes 23 banks with assets of over one trillion dollars. According to the report, China's big banks have maintained their position in 2017 through growth. However, European banks have been affected by the instability of the currency market due to Brexit.
According to the survey, the banks that have more grassroots activities are at the top of the list. As a result, big banks like Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley have to settle for 32nd and 36th place respectively. There was no place in the top 23. The top six banks in the top 23 are China, four in the United States, four in Japan, three in the United Kingdom and four in France. In addition, Germany and Spain have one bank each.
