Classes.

(1)Coordinating

(2)subordinating.

The sentence contains two independant two independant statment or two satements of equal rank or impirtance hence the conjunction joining together these two statments or clauses of equal rank is called a coordinating conjunction mean or equal rank

A co ordinating conjunction joins together clause of equal rank .
