Kazi Nazrul Islam was born on 25 May 1899 in Churulia district of West Bengal, India. He joined the army in 1918. He wrote innumerable stories and poems. He composed Agni Veena, Bisher Bashi, Chayanat, Rikterbapadan, Shiuli Mala, Yug Bani etc. He died on 29 August 1976 in Dhaka.
