There is hardly any country where there are no prisons because as long as there is law, there will be offenders. That is why the government who made the laws have put in measures to punish people who go against the law.
Human beings have the tendencies to commit offences that will land them in prisons, the prisons are made for humans and people get locked up every day.
Prisons are full of men and women , there are also homes for children who commit offences that are out of hand.
Among the women, there are some who are pregnant while some are mothers. It can be worrying to some people how they get pregnant in the prison.
Well, the main reason is that they are usually arrested while pregnant. Sinct they are coordinated by females in the prison, it is almost impossible to get impregnated in the prison without coming in pregnant. Some women who are breastfeeding can get into troubles too and may have to continue doing so in prison.
Women who are pregnant or mothers may not always have the privilege to go home just because of maternity issues, government put measures in place to help them put to bed and even take care of their children to a certain age.
It can't be easy for a woman in incarceration to be doing maternity but they just have to.
