Morning Motivation: Say no to "Just one more time"
Much as the "Just one more time" phrase can be very rewarding when used as a positive charge, it can also be sorely disastrous when you used as a charge for negative things, especially bad habits.
You see, there are so many bad habits we struggle with. These bad habits may be detrimental to our health, dangerous to our source of livelihood and against the will of God. Some of these are heavy smoking, alcoholism, fornication, substance abuse and laziness.
Growing up in the police barracks, I knew of a story of a former police officer who had a big problem with quitting alcoholism. He would always get drunk and misbehave. Whenever he was chided by his colleagues, he would always say, "I will change but let me have just one more bottle". To cut the story short, he was dismissed from the force after forgetting his gun at a bar on one of his carousing bouts.
If you have a bad habit you've been trying to stop, now is the time. Don't be postponing your salvation. Just one more cigar stick could be the end of you. Just one more bottle could cost you your job. Just one more nightstand could infect you with an incurable disease. Ingesting that substance one more time could cost you your sanity.
Now is the time to change for the better!
