Advertising is an act of promoting products by exposing all its positive features. It can connect people to the product that the company is promoting at emotional level. The customer will think that they really love the product even if they don’t need them, tendency they will buy it immediately. Advertising also serves as a reminder that a certain product is existing in the market, if times goes by and the customer realize that they need a certain product they know where to buy the products that they need.

Advantages of advertising

1. Standing out from competition- this one of the advantages of advertising, the larger the market, larger the competition in order to survive in this kind of competition you need to be known. This we’re advertising will jump in. If the product is advertising it will create a brand image that can attract audience. The larger the audience the greater sales.

2. Increasing brand and product awareness – doing an advertisement makes your customer aware of the feature that your product has. Advertising can help you to highlight all of the unique information of your product that will catch the eye of the customers.

3. Attracting potential customers – Advertising can help on attracting customers. Advertisement that is posted in social media, t.v. will caught an attention of the audience it will serves as the reminder to your customer that your product is existing. If time comes that they need something they’ll know where to buy it.

Disadvantage of advertising

1. Creates a monopolistic market – a powerful advertising can get a lot of market because of this one business venture will become superior to others because of fame. It can result to monopolistic market where in customers only tend to buy a product to the business, they know other business will be eliminated from the competition.

2. Deceptive advertisement – some companies tend to promote their product desperately to the point that they’re adding features that their product didn’t have in order to fool the customer. They did not aim to satisfy their customers they are just aiming for profit

3. Add to cost production of the product – advertising is expensive you will pay a lot of money for this. If you’re a big business you need millions for advertising. In short advertising is beneficial to everyone but it is very pricy.

Important factor in advertising

1. Product placement – for me this is one of the important factors in advertising. Knowing what platform to use is very effective way of promoting. Play it on tv, post it on social media, announce it radio. We need to know the appropriate platform to use in advertising through this we can cater large number of customers and can create a strong brand image.

2. Content – content is very important, you need to know what will be the taste of your target market. Would you focus on promoting your product? Or would you entertain them as well? In order to create an effective advertisement, you must need to find ways in order to engage with customers emotion, to make them feel that they love your product.

3. Endorsement – you must find an actor or model that suits on promoting your product. Every product has its characteristics you must find someone who has the character that suits to your product. And make your customer believe that your product is really amazing.
