First, what is Love? According to Google Dictionary, Love is an intense feeling of deep affection. It is a great interest and pleasure over something/someone.
According to Brain Pickings, Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get – only with what you are expecting to give – which is everything.
There’s a lot of definition of love, sometimes no one can define it properly because it happens to a very unexpected time, very unexpected place. Love has a different type like Agape, Eros and Philia.
Agape it is a universal love. You can feel this love to a stranger, nature and to God. It is the unselfish concern for the others. It can also be the love that nothing can change. No one can pay for it. This is a form of love that if you feel it there is no other important than loving. Because this type of love only God can give. This is the love that he makes us feel, that he offers to us. This is the unconditional love.
Eros is a love of the Body. This is the love that only because of the pleasure or lust. It is mainly based on a sexual interaction. This is only happening when you meet someone and you feel interested or you feel the pleasure towards that person. It is only a love that is not a deep rooted. It is only an attraction. You love his or her physical body not his or her self. In this generation it is the more popular specially to the teenagers. Because now a days if you saw a man or a woman that is a good looking you will easily say that you like him or her then after a day or a week you will say you love him or her. Then if their good-looking fades you can easily say that my love fades. That’s the most ridiculous form of love.
Philia is a love of the mind. It is a brotherly love. This is the love that you can give to your brother or sister or to your dear friend. This is the love we can feel when we met someone that can share sameness to us. It exists when two people share same values, same dispositions in life. So, I can that this love is a friendly and most comfortable love that we can feel.
