To the east of the Cordillera Central is the large Cagayan Valley, which serves as the catcher, of the Cagayan River, the longest river in the Philippines. To the east of the valley lies the mountain of Sierra Madre, the longest mountain in the country. To the south east of the Look of Manila lies the largest lake in the country, and the largest lake within the Southeast Asian region, the Lake of the Bay.
