I came across the Korean drama series "Heartstrings" when I was in 3rd grade and from then on, I became a huge fan of Korean dramas along with my sisters.
As a fan, we want to learn their culture, language, the food they usually eat, and their fashion styles. Although we only witnessed them online, in TV Shows, and in dramas, when we buy clothes, we ought to find dresses that are inspired by what our idols usually wear in dramas and it's not hard to find since nowadays there is much Korean-inspired fashion boutique since their styles are widespread.
We also tried to cook or buy Korean dishes like a corn dog, tteokbokki, or Korean stir-fried rice cakes, samgyeopsal or grilled pork belly, and ramen. Korean restaurants and Korean marts are all over Davao City Philippines now so it is not hard to find them. We sometimes call our parents 'Eomma' and 'Abuji' to imitate them.
One time when we went to Chocolate Hills in Bohol, we saw many Korean people there and we were honestly amazed that we tried to interact with them but failed to understand each other since they hardly understand English and we only knew few Korean words. We were immersed with their culture, food, and places that if given a chance, we would want to stay there for good.
