Many people think that bird nests are several inches wide and a few inches deep. In fact, many are not so large. However, the golden eagle, which has a wingspan of about seven feet, builds king-size nests.
Found in the solitary mountainous regions of North America, Europe, North Africa and Asia, the golden eagle builds its nests on rocky shelves on steep slopes or tall trees. The eagle's nest was found seven feet tall and six feet wide at the top!
It takes large quantities of materials to build its nest!
