The dreaded Trojan virus was found in four apps developed by the same company on the Google Play Store. By downloading the apps, the virus named 'Android/Trojan.tohiddenads.tobtgthb' enters the phone. Apps that steal data from mobile phones are—Bluetooth Auto Connect, Bluetooth App Sender, Mobile Transfer: Smart Switch and Driver: Bluetooth, WiFi, USB. This information was reported in a blog post by Malwarebytes Lab, which works on cyber security.

According to Malwarebytes Lab, the Trojan-type virus displays various fake ads within the app to fool users. By clicking on the advertisements, the apps collect information from the mobile phone and send it to the cyber criminals to entice them to use various services.
Even when the phone is locked, the apps can secretly open new tabs in the browser and launch various websites with harmful content. Many people are tempted to click on various links or advertisements as websites are viewed by unlocking the phone. As a result, cyber criminals started collecting information from mobile phones. Not only that, the battery charge of the mobile phone decreases as various websites are open for a long time.
The apps developed by Mobile Apps Group have been downloaded more than 1 million times in the Play Store, bypassing the eyes of Google's security system. Cyber security experts suggest deleting apps quickly to be safe.
