For most people, the rose is the strongest and most beautiful symbol of love and romance. Depending on the color and scent, we give this flower when we want to leave the best possible impression, because, you will agree, the rose is a kind of status symbol. She is equally adored on all sides of the world, both by nobles and ordinary people, so it is not surprising that after all these years, the rose still retains the status of "queen of flowers".

Mythology teaches us that the rose is closely associated with the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, and the god of vegetation (and also Aphrodite's lover) Adonis. It is believed that the first rose bush grew from the blood of Adonis, and from there comes a fairly clear association of immortal love, deep emotions, and a connection that never dies. In this way, the rose warns us that time, distance, and even death itself cannot defeat true and sincere love. We find similar symbolism in Christianity, where the red rose represents the blood of Christ, while its thorns are associated with the sacrifice that Jesus made in the name of humanity, ie human sins. It is interesting that the rose, as well as the rods, are often found on the battlefields where many heroes fell. Who would say that such a delicate flower can be a symbol of death, rebirth and universal rebirth at the same time?

The rose really represents all of the above, and to that list we add respect, eternity, sensuality, passion, courage, hope, immortality and perfection. You guessed it, it all depends on the color we choose. This is how we give a red rose when we want to emphasize passion and love for someone, or simply when we want to show how much we appreciate that person's courage. We decide for yellow when we want to put pleasure, friendly love in the foreground, or we simply want to let someone know that they can count on us. White roses are a symbol of spiritual love, purity and sinlessness, while oranges have the opposite meaning, with which we express our longing and fascination. In general, all lighter tones place more emphasis on friendship, tenderness and care, while darker, more fiery tones are always a sign of action, whether it is true love or just short-term physical attraction.

Let us also mention that the rose is a symbol that can often be found in Tarot cards, with a special emphasis on the cards of the Great Arcana: Crazy, Magician, Death and Power. All these cards are closely connected with the achievement of inner balance, and represent a clear connection between the spiritual and material worlds. Although this connection may sound strange at first glance, it should be borne in mind that the rose is not only an ornamental flower, but is often used in cosmetics, medicine and cooking. In other words - whether it is a fragrance, petals of different colors or teas, a rose really gives a person the best of himself!
