As soon as you climb the site view tower on the top of the hill, you can see the beautiful view of the high mountains and green forest across the border. The distant forest seems a little foggy, but there is no shortage of beauty. The farther you can cross the winding hills of Garo, the more you can see the natural beauty. This Madhutila Ecopark is located in Poragaon Union of Nalitabari Upazila of Sherpur.

 

As soon as you cross the park gate and enter, you will see rows of tall trees. On the right side of the road there is an open desert and on both sides there are shops for various products. Restaurant Parole is a winding road on a hilly slope. At the entrance of the hill, two elephants made of huge gray trunks will greet you.

The further you go, the more your mind will be filled with the infinite beauty of nature. On the way there are all kinds of wild flowers blooming in the gaps of the wild plants, in which the colorful butterflies are roaming. On the way from one hill to another, you will see deer, Royal Bengal Tiger, lion, monkey, different species of birds, crocodiles, frogs and mermaids by the lake. On the winding highs and lows, rows of trees often lead to the deep forest. Here you can spend your afternoon and afternoon sitting in the shade of high mountain trees.

 

Tickets are available at Tk 5 per person to enter the ecopark. There is an opportunity to paddle around the lake with a separate fee. Climb up to the Watch Tower to see the high mountains of India and the green Garo hills bordering it. If you are lucky, you can meet the group of wild elephants from the Watch Tower. They usually come down from the deep forest in the late afternoon or evening.

A children's park has been set up with different rides for children's sports and entertainment. There is a Mahua Rest House on the top of the hill for the daytime use of the tourists. If you want to use it, you have to contact the office of Mymensingh or Sherpur Forest Department. In addition, there are display models, information center, car parking zone, canteen, mini zoo. Orchards of various colors including medicinal and beautifying species of trees, seasonal flowers. There are also several picnic spots. The park will also feature a combination of biodiversity and animals.

How to get there:

The distance from Dhaka to Madhutila Ecopark is about 200 kilometers. You have to come to Sherpur from Dhaka's Mohakhali bus stand via Mymensingh. There is a local bus service from Sherpur bus stand to Nanni Bazar in Nalitabari upazila. Rickshaws, CNG-powered autorickshaws and motorcycles are available for rent from Nanni Bazar. From Sherpur you can rent a microbus, autorickshaw or motorbike to reach Madhutila Ecopark. Or there is a gatelock service directly from Mohakhali bus stand in Dhaka to Nalitabari. The rent is 300 rupees per person. From Nalitabari, you can reach Madhutila in 20-25 minutes by autorickshaw or motorbike. You can come back from Dhaka day by day.
