Genesis 2:4-7 (LB)
*Here is a summary of the events in the creation of the heavens and earth when the Lord God made them. There were no plants or grain sprouting up across the earth at first, for the Lord God hadn’t sent any rain; nor was there anyone to farm the soil. (However, water welled up from the ground at certain places and flowed across the land). The time came when the Lord God formed a man’s body from the dust of the ground and breathed into it the breath of life. And man became a living person.*
Our text above reveals that after God created the earth, the seeds God planted had not yet sprouted, as God had not yet sent the rain and because there was no one to farm or cultivate the soil. In the same way, there are certain things that cannot start happening in certain places and in the lives of certain people until you step onto the scene and initiate what God has empowered and commissioned you to do.
There are also some things happening in certain places or in the lives of certain people that may be good, but not optimal, when compared to God’s original intent. As a believer, you carry the solutions to the growth and productivity of certain places and in the lives of certain people. Until you arise and take your rightful place, certain things will continue as they have been.
Isaiah 60:1 (AMP) says, “Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you--rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [O Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you. And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”
When God formed man and breathed life into man, man began to live and to do what God intended for them to do. As a result, things began to grow and sprout on the earth. God could then send rain. In Christ, God has formed you and filled you with His life and Spirit. The earth will only be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God as we arise and manifest that life and glory to our world. Now is the time, this is the place and you are the one. Arise!
*Prayer:*
I yield myself to you, Dear Lord. I am ready to manifest Your life and glory in me. Use me to bring growth and productivity into many lives today.
