SUCCESS determinant!!! It’s not what you think.

The following list determines success in any game or field, they include;·

        Taking cold  morning showers·

        Waking up earlier·

Work more than 80 hours a week.·

        Go to meditation retreats.·

       Attend motivational speaking seminars·

Try as much as you can to make other people happy.

If you haven’t read enough self-help books, that’s a quick summary to what most of them entail, as someone who has been there and done that (yes cold morning showers suck!), I can attest to the fact that nothing changed. I decided to look at the scientific approach on what really determines success in any endeavor and Harvard research was the best place to start , turns out it was IQ(sorry but EQ does not exist), industriousness and orderliness. It surprised me too but at least my search was really narrowed down on what things I should focus on and make real progress.

IQ is the most determinant factor of success, it’s a no brainer actually intelligent people solve difficult problems in our society and hence they earn more. The biggest problem though is there is no way to add IQ, or nicely put no scientist has come up with a way of adding cognitive ability. The IQ you were born with is what you will always have, it peaks at 21 years and start deteriorating. The only way to slow its deteriorating is through physical exercise. People who generally have a high IQ tend to register highly in other cognitive abilities like high emotional abilities. Industriousness can also be linked closely to entrepreneurship, this is the ability to come up with solutions to some difficult everyday problems humans face. It’s a skill and it can only be developed through learning and have certain personality types (next article). Industrious people tend to create companies and businesses.

Orderliness can generally be defined as how clean is your room? How clean is your house? Do you have a schedule? Do you follow strict rules? People who tend to depict these behaviors tend to be good managers and CEOs. Orderliness tends to produce people who run companies successfully.

As I conclude we have to consider luck in the equation, life is a poker game not chess! Chess success is mainly dependent on the skills of the player, it’s almost impossible for a rookie to beat a legend in a game but it happens sometimes in poker. Sometimes average and undeserving people get lucky and become successful.
