About 3 weeks ago I started the YouTube channel "All About Bitcoin Cash". The modest goal is to onboard the entire world to Bitcoin Cash. 😅
As I said, it's a very modest goal. 😁 As they say "aim for the stars..."
In these 3 weeks the channel has gained more than 180 subscribers and almost 3000 views across 12 videos.
Not bad, especially considering that I have not paid for fake subscribers and also not for fake views.
The "success" of the channel is due to the help of the noise.cash community watching and sharing the videos. (A big thank you to everyone who has helped with that! 💚)
The first video on my channel is an introduction to noise.cash. It has been watched 650 times so far, has received almost 100 likes and it is the second most popular video on the channel so far.
As some kind noisers have offered to translate the video, I am publishing this improved transcript of the video. I have improved a few things here and there, but it follows pretty closely what I said in the video.
The transcript can now be translated and the translations can be added as subtitles to the original video. In that way it becomes accessible to a wider audience.
The transcript begins
Hello everybody and welcome to this short video in which I introduce to you a website which is almost too good to be true. But thankfully, it is a website that actually exists.
So what is this website?
The name of the website is noise.cash and it is a microblogging website similar to twitter. The special thing about it is that you can not only earn likes: If you receive a like, there is a chance that you also get some cryptocurrency for the post that you wrote or for the comment that you wrote or maybe for the picture that you shared.
Let's explore this!
I have navigated to my own profile: MoreGainStrategies is my actual profile and in this video, I will first show you the earnings potential you can achieve on noise.cash and then later on, I'll explain how you can create your own profile, what are the steps necessary to receive the cryptocurrency and we'll also start a little experiment: We will see how the user experience is for a new user and how much I do actually earn with this new profile.
First of all, let's start with the earnings potential: If we scroll down, you see that almost an hour ago I did post something. It is a very short text that is a link to a YouTube video. And then there are two screenshots of people I talked to about this website. As you see I received 43 likes for that post.
(I can actually not click on like if i'm not signed up.)
For these 43 likes I received 38 cents and you can see here that many people sent me some small amounts of CryptoCurrency by liking my post. You can also see the likes that I received.
Basically noise.cash works like that: Once you have an account, you can like posts of other people. You can also like comments of other people and there's a slight chance that your like is actually transformed into a Dollar sum which can then be paid out to the person whose post you liked.
So it is very straightforward.
We see that there are replies to what i wrote and then there are replies to the replies and then there's a nice conversation in the comments going on.
Let's just scroll quickly through my posts. We see 39 cents on the first post and then I shared actually a video link to Coffeezilla - one of my favorite YouTubers - and you see other people also liked that: 48 likes, 72 cents. And then I actually "renoised" a post which is about one of my favorite music artists: Neffex (check them out on YouTube - I also have some versions of their songs that I modified and uploaded to YouTube). People didn't like that so much. I only received 15 cents for it.
Let's go through this more quickly: 27 cents, 15 cents again, 60 cents. Oh, this is actually a good example for a renoised post: Someone renoised what I posted here.
And then the next 26 cents, 53 cents, $1.22 and so on and so on. 44 cents and you see, these are all posts from within this pastone day. Here we have more than a dollar, $1.85, 25 cents, 28 cents and still not more than a day ago, 30 cents, 14 cents.
I haven't kept track of how much I earned, but it is quite a nice sum that you can accumulate just by using the site.
Here finally, this post was made two days ago. So you see, it is quite some money that you can actually earn by using this website.
I hope you're motivated now to join noise.cash. What are the necessary steps? How do you get started?
Well, obviously we click "get started". As you see, you have to choose a username, provide an email address and I trust that everyone can fill out these fields by themselves. Therefore, let's continue after I've done the same.
Two hours later...
Okay, finally I've managed to come up with a username that kind of makes some sense. I entered my email address and now I'm waiting for the email by noise.cash with the code. Once I enter this code, then we can continue. Let's hope this email arrives soon.
A few minutes later...
Okay finally! I waited for about 15 minutes and the email didn't come and it didn't come. That's why I finally refreshed the web page and then I had to reconfirm my email. And after reconfirming my email, I finally received the code. Thankfully, we can go ahead. We just enter the code and now we make sure to read the rules of the website.
It's really important that you stick to the rules. Otherwise you will not earn any crypto. The rules are actually very very simple and very straightforward for every person who possesses some common sense:
No begging for tips or subscriptions: Just don't beg, okay? Just use the website as a micro blogging platform, as a social media platform. Use it to interact with and meet new people. There are lots of interesting, kind, funny people on this platform. Don't just go there to grab some crypto - some free money - and don't try to maximize your earnings. Just use it as a normal social media platform and just treat the tips as the icing on the cake, the bonus that you get in addition to that.
No erotic or porn content.
No obviously illegal content, hacks, scams.
Just stay polite.
And we'll, we don't want to see pictures of your excrements - nothing that is disgusting to other users: Well, this is actually not very straightforward and there's some interpretation going on there. But it basically means: Don't post pictures of what you've just put in the toilet.
And then the last part: No extremism, calls to violence or glorification of violence.
Okay, next page! What comes next? "If you don't like our rules, check the second checkbox and your account will be deleted!" and so on...
If you violate the rules, you could be given a warning or you could even be banned. Okay. And then, of course, we agree to the rules and we tap "confirm". And there we go!
Okay, here is our subscriptions page. As we don't have any subscriptions yet, this is empty. You can get to the subscription page if you just tap the "N" on the upper left corner.
Let's explore the website. Here we have channels. Channels are basically dedicated to certain topics. Next we have chambers. These are similar to channels, but they are the older version and I assume, they will be removed from the website soon. So we don't really need to bother with this feature. This hand symbol gets us to the explore page. On the explore page we can see what other people have just posted to the platform. You see, these are all very recent posts and this is a good place to find new people. The other way to find new people is to search for a username if you know one. Now I'm searching for my other account. Alternatively, you can also just type in any search term or any keyword which you're interested in. The search feature will search for posts containing this keyword.
Here we see user MoreGainStrategies. Let's click my other profile and then we subscribe and now we have the option to turn on the notification bell so that every time when I post something from my other account, I get a notification here on this account and the notification actually appears on the upper right corner where this bell is.
There is currently no notification. Let me quickly post something from the other account.
Much, much, much later...
Okay, my post is ready to go and I am posting it now. Let's see what happens. Oh, we see our notification bell turned red already. Let's click it and we have our first notification.
"I'm currently recording an introduction video for noise.cash. It will be on YouTube tomorrow. "
Let's open this notification and we see: How great! We can see the post that I've just written. And if we like it, we can actually press the like button and as you see, we have just donated 0.8 cents worth of Bitcoin Cash.
What I haven't told you yet, is that this entire website is powered by Bitcoin Cash and in one of the upcoming videos I will talk in more detail about this crypto. For now let's not dive into it. For now we want to explore the website.
The last thing we haven't checked out yet is this "my account" button on the top right corner. If we tap it, then you can see your own posts. As of now we don't have any yet. This is my username and this is the profile picture. If we click the profile picture, we can change it to something else which I don't want to do right now. So, not right now. And then if you're not just interested in the posts, but also in the replies, you can just click "show replies". And then we can check out the site rules again - in case we forgot
or we can switch between the dark and the light mode. I had to click it twice to switch to the light mode. But let's go back to the dark mode, I prefer it.
We could also log out. But that's not what we want to do. We want to go to "wallet", because there are some important settings that we have to specify. And as you see, we have two fields here: one is for our Bitcoin Cash address.
What is the Bitcoin Cash address?
Cryptocurrency is typically stored in a wallet. A crypto wallet is basically a software program that controls the crypto that you own. Each wallet has an address and you need this address to send the crypto to your own wallet. You don't want to trust the platform to keep the crypto for you. You want to keep it yourself and therefore, now we need to install a wallet. let's go to the PlayStore or whatever it is called in for Apple devices - the AppStore I guess - and then let's search for "Bitcoin.com" and then we should find the Bitcoin.com wallet app.
Yeah, that's the one! Just check it's from Bitcoin.com and check that the logo matches. And now we just install it. This takes a short while to download and while we add it, we might as well just check out the video that is running in the background.
Now it's installing.
"Welcome to the world of Bitcoin. Buy, sell, spend and invest" and so on. Yeah, you can read this if you want and I'll go through this in one of my next videos.
We can just continue anonymously and we're in our wallet. You see, we have three wallets in one. We have one for Bitcoin Cash, that is the BCH. Then we have one for Bitcoin Core, this is the BTC, sometimes also just called Bitcoin. And then this is the Ethereum wallet ETH.
Okay the next thing we want to do is, we want to receive money from noise.cash to our wallet. That's why we choose "receive" and then it says "only send Bitcoin Cash to this address". That's the right one. Just copy the address. Now we switch back to our browser and we just paste it here.
And you see, it's a very long number. And now we can set a minimum payout. We set this to 10 cents. This means that until we reach a total amount of 10 cents, the crypto is actually stored and accumulated on the platform noise.cash. And once we cross the border of 10 cents, the crypto is sent to our wallet.
I've just saved this and that's it. You're ready to go! Let's move back to our main site. You see that because I'm subscribed to my other profile MoreGainStrategies, I see all of my previous posts here. And what's up? Yeah that's just right! "Hello everyone, I'm new to noise.cash!" and add a smiley. Let's see what's going to happen... Probably not much, because not many people will see that. But after a while we might actually get some likes. We might actually get some crypto. And that's how you go about using this website. And that's how you earn.
I'll post regular updates on how much crypto I earned with this new account and I hope you are excited for the updates.
Let's refresh, did we receive a like already. No, not yet... Well, the beginning is always hard, right? So let's just wait...
I'll use the website as social media. Let's see what happens with the new account. And I hope you do the same. I hope you also join noise.cash. I hope you learn about cryptocurrencies in general and about Bitcoin Cash in particular. Trust me, it is a good idea to spend some time on this. Not just for the one or two cent tips. It is a good idea in general. And we'll explore why in the next videos. So stay tuned, subscribe to the YouTube channel and see you on noise.cash! Bye bye!
Perhaps you may be interested in some help? As I have done with some of my other friends, I have featured their channel at the bottom of my home channel on YouTube. https://youtube.com/c/Emiliahumepankulis
If you were interested, we could feature each other to basically share our audiences... Will gain some visibility at the very least...
It won't help very much to begin with, but as we all grow our channels, we grow our audiences and in essence share our growing audiences.
In theory it would work at least 😅
