Don't Run for SK Chairman, If you can't fulfill your Duties.

I do believe, running for the position in "Sangguniang Kabataan" circle must also have qualifications before entering. It doesn’t matter if you’re not that so clever, as long as you know how to handle your subordinate, you’ll be qualified. It’s not about being intelligent, but being benevolent that will definitely help your vassal to be productive.

Intellectually speaking, there are some matters you should know before planning to run for any position in SK:

1.) Write a formal letter

This one really matters especially if you’re a SK Chairman. How can you make an event if you don’t even know how to write a formal letter to premeditate events? Even requesting funds from the high positions, you have to make a formal letter as way of formality.

2.) Know how to organize, implement, manage and evaluate events.

Having knowledge pertaining to these matters could be used. If you aim to be sk leader, you should think that these matters can help you in governing the kabataan. You don’t have to be intelligent, but just having the characteristics to be a leader is adequate enough.

3.) Prepare budgetary plans and reports.

Also, you should consider of this matter. Preparing budgetary plans and reports needs to know of the sk leaders. It’s not just about implementing the events immediately, but it has process for you to budget it precisely. Like in making budgetary plans for the events, you should consider how much you’ll spend for it — also in making reports or documentation, you should have this in every event or gathering.

4.) A Leader who knows how to handle stress and pressure.

You know what, this really helps if you know how to handle the things that bother you, like stress and pressure. It’s inevitable for the leaders to be pressured and stressed, thus it needs to overcome the obstacles. You must always have solution in every hindrance you might face. As a leader, you don’t need to show your exhaustion to kabataan, but always show happiness and braveness despite the hard moments you experience.

5.) COMMUNICATION

This one is the most important among all qualifications. Interacting with others really matters. As a leader, you should be multitasker in governing your kabataan. You should have better communication so that you will interact to each other comfortably and conveniently.

Finally, I’m done imparting some qualifications that really need to have if you’re aiming to run for the position of being SK Chairman, even for the SK Kagawad.

PS: What I’ve said is only according to my observation, also I have asked some people who already had experience of being SK leaders.

To those people who are planning to run SK Chairman please read some guidelines above hehehe. I don't want to happen what our Barangay have. Our SK Chairman only know how to corrupt the money of the government but even a single event of youth this yeat, he don't have any plans. It seems all Barangays in our municipality only out Barangay don't have linggo ng Kabataan event. Other barangays done with the said event but ours we don't have. Even once our SK chairman don't have any promise that has been fulfilled. Maybe he grab the opportunity to corrupt the money because surely he can't win again in our Barangay. Chairman hehehe you can't sit in the throne of our Barangay again.
