Recent visit to Naran Kaghan
The road from Islamabad, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to Naran is a seven-hour journey by road, which we arranged with a convoy of two vehicles. In between, three tunnels have to be crossed at Abbottabad and Mansehra. These tunnels paint a picture of the everlasting friendship between Pakistan and China. According to a proverb, it is deeper than the sea, higher than the Himalayas and sweeter than honey. On the way, when you reach Balakot, the river Kunhar joins you to befriend you. Balakot, before Kagan Naran, is the same place where Syed Ahmad Shaheed and Syed Shah Ismail Shaheed were martyred while fighting the Sikhs for the glory of Islam. The tombs of these two martyrs are in Balakot. When Balatkot was destroyed by the earthquake, the tombs of these two pure men were protected by Allah Almighty.
On the way from Balakot to Naran, springs flow from the mountains and water the road. There are small waterfalls everywhere. On the slopes of these waterfalls are small hotels with chairs and beds. Families stop here on the way to rest, eat and drink tea. There are modern hotels on the way to Kagan Naran. There are small settlements along the way. The road is sometimes on the right side of the hill. Turn left somewhere. A dam is also being built in one place. So the road in this area is bad. Although not greenery like Murree, Swat and Galyat. But along the way, the Kunhar River adds to the beauty of the area. This is the unique beauty that attracts tourists here.
