Today, there are more than 7.5 billion people in the world and each of us thinks in a different way.
There are, of course, people who have similar opinions. This is why we are able to gather together around unique reasons. But at the heart of it, for various reasons, we do stuff.
It is this specific reality that has made me so interested in people that I have found a greater respect for them.
It was also through that reality that I learned a precious lesson.
The lesson is that we need to consider the differences in experience and therefore individuals.
In reality, we can grow better by accepting these differences in ways we can't imagine on our own.
Why Viewpoints Matter
The viewpoint is the way we see the world, the truth of ours.
It's special to ours, and it's all ours.
But is the only one that exists is our reality?
It's definitely not.
Whether it's work roles or individuals in general, every individual has their own realities. Our truth is the basis for these positions and viewpoints.
We see it from there differently.
It is really important to see things in a different light as a leader or as an person. We add a deeper layer of comprehension of ourselves and others by doing so. To illustrate this, I often use the example of individuals in control (like managers) or politicians.
At times, it is convenient for individuals to see why administrators or leaders do such things that make little sense. Some people believe these individuals are out to get them. When change comes, they complain about change or something else.
The fact is, those complainants may very well lack perspective.
I'm not suggesting that all leaders are saints and, given the correct circumstances, all managers are fine.
Nevertheless, their conduct should not be based exclusively on one opinion, the general public or their workers.
There are a number of talents we need to cultivate in order to see things in a different light: perspective-taking and perspective-seeking.
Perspective-taking is seeing stuff from different points of view. We ought to try to get into the shoes of other people and see it from their side, in essence.
It's a lot more than sitting in someone's shoes with perspective-seeking.
Instead of choosing a hand, perspective-seeking is simply looking critically at stuff.
It's keeping an open mind and a desire to know what's going on with someone.
But it is through this cat-like curiosity and ability to see things in multiple lights that it is possible to use skills in several different ways. It's how I've seen absence, dysfunctional relationships, rage and vengeance in various lights over the course of this writing challenge. I've been revisiting and deepening my interpretation of those themes.
In addition, you can enrich your life by learning other aspects about your life and truth by being open to people's perspectives.
Perspective helps culture as well
You may also take a global view and see the importance of having diversity in your community and social life.
Diversity is necessary in order to create teams. We can see it now more than ever, as people take on a more collaborative spirit at work.
That said, race, gender , and sexual orientation still lack some diversity. A lot of us, in truth, overlook it.
It is because of this that accepting it will help us evolve.
For instance , businesses that have embraced diversity alone have seen improvements in innovation and revenue. Compared to other companies whose executives are mostly white men, companies that have women taking leadership positions have seen increased sales as well as more innovation.
As it opens up our culture, these multiple viewpoints and backgrounds are important in our lives.
A lot of racial friction that has arisen in society today could easily be associated with societies and lifestyles where people are not exposed for a large portion of their lives to various groups of people.
That or they grew up with a certain standard and interpretation of certain individuals of color.
By keeping an open mind and also collaborating with other groups of people, those barriers can be broken down. Both as a child and as a grown-up.
Try that one,
Abraham Lincoln said once ...
"Judge not, for if you were in that position, you would do the same thing."
I urge other individuals to start living in that way because it allows us to seek both insight and perspective.
We flourish because we have a wide mind and try to comprehend both sides of the coin.
Two sides of any story will always be there. So take both in and strive critically to understand.
It is to have knowledge to understand one hand, but understanding both is to have wisdom.
Towards your growth!

A lot can change in our lives when we change how we see things.
