Shyness is one of the attributes of God Almighty and His Noble Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and all other prophets and righteous servants, and it is a great and honorable creation from the morals of the Islamic religion that he called for and urged to adorn itself with it.
He should be described as that of a woman. There is a shyness that is born with man, and another that is acquired through knowledge of God Almighty and sensing his observation, understanding the Islamic religion, and knowledge of his great teachings.
Prophetic hadiths about modesty
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Belief is seventy or sixty branches.
The best of it is the saying there is no god but God. On the authority of Imran bin Husayn, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that he said: (Modesty does not come but good) [Sahih Al-Bukhari].
On the authority of Abu Masoud Uqba bin Amr Al-Ansari, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: (Whatever the people perceived from the words of the prophethood: If you do not feel ashamed, then do as you wish) [Sahih Al-Bukhari].
Kinds of modesty
Shyness from God Almighty: On the authority of Ibn Masoud that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: (Be ashamed of God the right of modesty. We said: O Messenger of God, we will be ashamed, and praise is to God. Awareness, the belly is preserved, and what is encompassed, and to remember death and calamity, and whoever wants the hereafter forsakes the adornment of the world, so whoever does that has become alive, meaning: From God is the right of modesty) [Sahih al-Tirmidhi]. The modesty of God Almighty is manifested in obedience to Him and His commands and forsaking what He prohibited.
The shyness of the angels: the angels are hurt by the actions of evils and sins, so they must be honored and modesty from them, for they are associated with the servant all the time.
The shyness of people: It is by neglecting harm and declaring sins and all evil.
The shyness of the soul: with chastity, self-preservation, and protection from forbidden things, especially in seclusion, and it has been said: Whoever performs an act in secret is ashamed of him in public, then he has no destiny for himself.
The fruits of modesty in this world
Modesty has fruits to be reaped in this life, including Modesty does not come but fine. Get one to do good and keep away from evil. Leave everything ugly and reprehensible. Exercising good morals. Love for God Almighty Increase obedience and worship. Humility, tranquility, and self-comfort. Preservation of honor and honor. Leave to sin and sins.
People love and respect him. Set a good example to follow. Complete the work perfectly. Insight on the blessings and great virtue of God Almighty. Spread tolerance among people and ease of dealing with each other. May God Almighty protect and cover him. Increase belief in increased modesty.
The shameful reasons
Many reasons develop in a person the creation of modesty, perhaps some of them are:
Love of God Almighty.
Feeling always watching God Almighty.
Highness and honor of the soul.
Fear of the punishment of God Almighty.
Reaching the reward that God Almighty has prepared for those who are characterized by modesty and winning paradise.
Always holding oneself accountable and ceasing sins Sitting with the righteous and who is characterized by this noble character.
