The word miracle in the language by combining name is taken from the impotence, which is the inability to do something, and in the legal terminology, the miracle is an extraordinary matter by which God-Almighty supports his prophets by conducting it by their hands, and it is contrary to the universe and the laws of life to which people are accustomed, and the goal of This is a demonstration of their sincerity and the sincerity of their prophethood, and that matter is coupled with a challenge to people to come up with something like it or something close to it, and the miracle comes as proof and evidence of the sincerity of the Prophet or Messenger whom God Almighty sent.
If a person claims that he is a messenger from God, then he is not raised Evidence or proof of the sincerity of his claim when no one believed him. And since the challenge is one of the characteristics of miracles, God Almighty made the miracle of each of his prophets - peace be upon them - of a kind that his people mastered in matters, so the miracle of the Messenger of God Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace - was in the Holy Qur’an.
As his people were strong in language, rhetoric, and eloquence in its arts and literature, and so in every miracle that God Almighty bestows on one of his prophets, yet God Almighty may support his prophets with miracles other than those of a race that their people excelled in, but the main miracle is It is what his people master, and God -mighty and majestic- has made the miracle breach of the human habit and the cosmic Sunnah a clear and clear matter so that the pilgrimage is made against the people, and that is a mercy for them so that the matter does not remain suspicious and confused, and that the argument is made on the people.
Terms of the miracle
Scientists spoke on the condition to check the meaning of the miracle certain conditions stated as follows:
For the matter to be something that only God Almighty cannot do and cannot do. The requirement of this condition is that the matter is beyond human ability. Because if a person claimed prophecy and then said my miracle that I can eat, or I can walk, or own a house, or anything else that is capable of human beings, what he says would not be evidence, argument, or miracle for people, then all of them do what he says is a miracle, and when his words prove the truthfulness of his claim.
That the matter is extraordinary, going beyond the usual normal; Whoever claims prophethood, then tells that his miracle, which indicates the sincerity of his prophecy, is the rise of the sun, it's setting or the change of seasons; His words are not validated for his claim, even though these matters are only capable of doing that by God Almighty However, it is a universal Sunnah that people know and are familiar with, and it existed before the claim of prophethood, but the miracle is that it breaks those Sunnahs and is changed by the person claiming prophecy if he is sincere in his claim.
That the claimant of prophethood quotes an action against God Almighty; That he says: My miracle is that God Almighty revives this deceased when I wipe his chest, and that will happen with the command of God Almighty if he is sincere.
That the matter which the claimant of prophecy claimed to be his miracle takes place in the form he claimed; For example, if someone claimed prophethood and said that his miracle is the uttering of a certain animal, then that animal utters the saying: (He is a liar and he is not a prophet); So what he claimed was not a miracle for him. Because it occurred in a way other than the image claimed by that claimant, and from that is what was reported from Musaylimah al-Liqab, that when he claimed prophethood, he spat into a well and wanted to increase the water in it, and the water in it collapsed with the will of God Almighty, so this was a sign of God’s miraculous lies and not truthfulness His lawsuit; Because it happened against what he wanted.
That no one comes up with something like what is claimed to be a miracle If someone does something like him, he has gone out of being within the power of mankind and has become possible for anyone, and the like is not described as a miracle.
The wisdom of the miracle
God Almighty supported all His prophets - may peace be upon them - with miracles. There are many rulings, and some of them are explained as follows:
Miracles demonstrate the power of God - may He be glorified and exalted - with what he does in terms of paradoxical customs and universal Sunnahs, which confirms the prophets ’claim and their sincerity in it so that people believe in the messengers and their calls.
Miracles show the mercy of God Almighty on His servants, as He reassures them and enlightens them on the straight path. Miracles clarify the wisdom of God Almighty, as he sends messengers and does not leave them without his support, but rather sends with them and performs miracles on their hands that confirm their call until the purpose of God Almighty is fulfilled of the people's faith.
Miracles help messengers, peace be upon them, and facilitate the task of calling people to faith. When they see the miracle, they begin to believe and obey the commands of their messengers. Miracles establish the proof on the people, and without it, the people’s excuse for unbelief would have been that they could not prove the sincerity of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
Miracles show that the universe, with all that it contains, is subject to God Almighty, so if God Almighty wants something, it is in the image that God desires.
