A huge number of scientific treatises are devoted to the problem of studying the capabilities of the human brain. Memory and its properties are central to these studies. People turned their attention to the unique ability to "record, store and reproduce" information a long time ago. It has been noticed that memory develops best before the age of 25

This is directly related to learning, since up to this age while studying at school or another educational institution, we acquire new knowledge and learn to use it in various activities. A good memory is often the key to successful studies. Many want to study well, have a good memory, but few pay attention to its purposeful preservation and development. Today I bring to your attention some simple exercises to strengthen and develop memory.

1.  Countdown. When you wake up in the morning, do not rush to jump out of bed, lie down for another 10-15 minutes, stretch, think of something pleasant. Before getting up, count as quickly as possible in reverse order from 100 to 1. You can do this mentally.

2.  The alphabet. Another time, repeat the alphabet instead of counting down. Think of a word for each letter of the alphabet. It is important to do this exercise very quickly, so do not stop and do not pause if you forget a letter or cannot find a word, just skip this letter.

3.  I named the next exercise “Names”. Do it once a day: remember 20 female names and 20 male names. This exercise can also be done mentally, for example, while standing at a bus stop while waiting for transport.

4.  Words. Randomly name 20 words that start with the letter of your choice.

5.  Pause. With your eyes closed, count from 0 to 20. By the way, this exercise also helps to calm down and concentrate before a performance, to tune in to the perception of information that you need to remember.

6.  Poems. Learn poetry. Do this regularly. Constantly increase the amount of text you are learning. Choose the verses you like to memorize.

Learn poetry in several steps. For example, read the poem for the first time and start learning, then continue memorizing after about an hour. Gradually increase the intervals between repetitions. Be sure to recite the poem before bed. It is important that you like the poem. If you need to learn a verse that was asked at school, and you don’t like it or not interesting, you need to mentally or aloud draw pictures for this poem.

7.  Nice memories. In the evening, before going to bed, while already in bed, mentally imagine the events of the past day. This should be done in the reverse order - that is, first remember what happened in the evening, and then play this "film strip" back. In the end, remember what happened in the morning. Remember as many details (details) as possible. The main thing is that you cannot concentrate on the negative - remember the pleasant moments of the past day.

Turn on your imagination and in your memories look at everything, including yourself, from the outside. 8. Associations. Do you know how you can memorize the colors of the rainbow: "Every hunter wants to know where the pheasant is sitting"? The first letter of each word is associated with a specific color - red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple. You can also remember events by coming up with associations for them. 

As you read the text to remember, imagine that you are walking from home to school or the store. Place each significant fact from the text along the route you have chosen. Then you can easily remember what you remember, you just need to mentally imagine this route again. Come up with new routes for new information

I agree with the extra 10 to 15 minutes before actually getting up. the brain is so amazing and now that we are driving into neural technology we are going to learn so much more about our brains. Three brain has the power to heal our bodies a.k.a the placebo effect.
