Chat With an AI Version Of Elon Musk and More (it’s free)

AI is a lot of fun and with large language models and natural language processing, we get some cool features, like being able to chat with a bot that talks like Elon Musk. Or anyone else for that matter.
Today I will show you a tool, that lets you do just that and even more. There is fun to be had!
And the best part — it’s completely free!
Let’s get straight to it.
Charater.AI
Character is an AI tool that offers different text models. You can play around with existing ones or even create new ones yourself. I even created a version of myself you can try chatting with.

You can sign up using your Google or Discord account, or simply use your e-mail.
During the sign-up process, we are reminded that we won’t be talking to actual people. And everything has to be taken with a grain of salt.

Once you have learned some more safety-related information and accepted the site's terms. You are ready to go.
Let’s chat with Elon
What would you ask Elon Musk, if you had the chance to chat with him? Now you can. (Kind of)

While not exactly the responses Elon himself has given on this topic during interviews, the overall style of conversation seems pretty close.

Ever wanted to be taught by Albert Einstein himself? Here’s Einstein explaining relativity to me:

I guess I should have specified that I am interested in General Relativity, the theory that Einstein is famous for coming up with.
Instead, I got a pretty good explanation of just plain, simple relativity. Which is still quite impressive.
I also asked a trick question about matching socks. Einstein was known for not wasting time on matching socks. The answer was quite good. But I don’t believe he actually wore identical socks.
We have tried talking to AI versions of people. But there is something more we can do.
Games
This tool also allows playing text adventure games with AI. Let’s give it a go.

Conclusion
Although, this tool is currently meant for entertainment and passing time. It still showcases how powerful AI language processing tools have gotten.
There are a lot of potential use cases for tools like this. Support chatbots could become much better at what they are supposed to do. We could soon see a new generation of extremely good digital assistants that understand us a whole lot better than the ones we have currently. We could potentially have something like automated e-mail answering machines, that actually answer sensibly. The sky is the limit. But one thing is for sure. The world is changing.
