Let’s have some more fun with Midjourney AI.

I have already illustrated songs , re-created animals from their dictionary descriptionscreated illustrations for the most beautiful words in the English language and even made TikToks using this amazing tool.

Now it’s time for mythological creatures. Nobody knows for sure what most of these should look like. We have some accepted standards, artist interpretations, and 3D generations in movies of these creatures. But who is there to say that we have got it right?

Let’s take another look at these creatures from the perspective of Artificial Intelligence.

To create all of the images in this article I will be using an AI image-generation tool Midjourney AI. If you would like to try doing something similar yourself, I have created some tutorials that will get you started:

Let’s get to the part you’ve been waiting for:

1. A Dragon

A dragon is usually represented as a huge, bat-winged, fire-breathing, scaly lizard or snake with a barbed tail. The belief in these creatures apparently arose without the slightest knowledge on the part of the ancients of dinosaurs, which have some remblance to dragons.

3. A Centaur

Centaurs are half-human, half-horse creatures in Greek mythology. They have the body of a horse and the torso, head and arms of a man. They were considered to be the children of Ixion, king of the Lapiths, and Nephele, a cloud made in the image of Hera. According to a different myth, however, they were all born from the union of a single Centaurus with the Magnesian mares.

Well, not exactly with midjourney only. I used midjourney to create a lot of variations of the same image, and then used editing software to turn those into animations. But it looks like text-to-video is also a thing now. Meta came out with a new tool make-a-video!
