2. ভাষাঃ সংবিধান বাংলা ও ইংরেজি ভাষায় লিখিত হয়েছে। তবে সংবিধানে বাংলা ভাষাকে একমাত্র রাষ্ট্রভাষা হিসেবে ও বিশ্বকবি রবীন্দ্রনাথের 'আমার সোনার বাংলা' গানটির প্রথম দশজন বাংলাদেশের জাতীয় সংগীত হিসেবে গ্রহণ করা হয়। 1972 এর সংবিধান এ দেশের নাগরিকদের বাঙালি হিসেবে উল্লেখ করা হয। অর্থাৎ বাহাত্তরের সংবিধানের মূল বৈশিষ্ট্য বাংলা ভাষার ব্যবহার।

4. রাষ্ট্রপরিচালনার মূলনীতিঃ 1972 সালের সংবিধানের প্রস্তাবনায় রাষ্ট্রপরিচালনার মূলনীতি হিসেবে চারটি আদর্শকে গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। যথা- জাতীয়তাবাদ, সমাজতন্ত্র, গণতন্ত্র এবং ধর্মনিরপেক্ষতাবাদ।এর মূল লক্ষ্য ছিল এ এক সমাজ প্রতিষ্ঠা যেখানে সকল নাগরিকের জন্য আইনের শাসন মৌলিক অধিকার এবং রাজনৈতিক অর্থনৈতিক ও সামাজিক সাম্য স্বাধীনতা ও সুবিচার নিশ্চিত করা। 1972 এর সংবিধান এর অন্যতম মূল বৈশিষ্ট্য ছিল রাষ্ট্রপরিচালনার মূলনীতি সংযোজন করা যা রাষ্ট্রব্যবস্থার হাতিয়ার হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

5. সংসদীয় শাসনব্যবস্থা প্রণয়নঃ ৭২ এর সংবিধানের আরেকটি বৈশিষ্ট্য ছিলো সংসদীয় পদ্ধতির শাসনব্যবস্থা প্রণয়ণ করা। 1972 সালের সংবিধানে মন্ত্রীপরিষদ শাসিত শাসনব্যবস্থার প্রবর্তন করে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর হাতে সমস্ত প্রকৃত শাসন ক্ষমতা ন্যাস্ত করে।উক্ত সংবিধানে রাষ্ট্রপতিকে উপাধীসর্বস্ব করা হয়। সংবিধানে একটি এক কক্ষ বিশিষ্ট এবং 300 সদস্য ও সংরক্ষিত আসনে 15 জন মহিলা সদস্যদের সমন্বয়ে আইনসভা গঠনের বিধান করা হয়।

6. মৌলিক অধিকারের উলেখ্যঃ 72 এর সংবিধানের অন্যতম বৈশিষ্ট্য মানুষের মৌলিক অধিকার লিপিবদ্ধ করা। সংবিধানের 27-44 এর অনুচ্ছেদে মৌলিক অধিকার সন্নিবেশিত করা হয়। সংবিধানের 44 নং অনুচ্ছেদ দ্বারা সুপ্রিম কোর্টকে সকল ধরণের মৌলিক অধিকার নিশ্চিত করার রক্ষাকবজ করা হয়েছে। অর্থাৎ সংবিধানের দ্বারা মানুষের চলাফেরা, বাক স্বাধীনতা, সংগঠন, সমাধিকার প্রভৃতি মৌলিক মানবাধিকারের নিশ্চয়তা প্রদান করা হয়েছে।এর ফলে মানুষের মৌলিক অধিকার আইনের দ্বারা বিধিবদ্ধ হিসেবে স্বীকৃত হয়েছে।

7. সংসদ সদস্যদের শৃঙ্খলাঃ কোনো সংসদ সদস্য নিজ দল ত্যাগ করলে বা দলের সিদ্ধান্তের বিরুদ্ধে ভোট দিলে তিনি তার সংসদ সদস্যপদ হারাবেন(বাংলাদেশের সংবিধানের অনুচ্ছেদ 70)। সরকারের স্থিতিশীলতার স্বার্থে এ বিধান করা হয়েছে।

8. ন্যায়পালের বিধানঃ বাংলাদেশের সংবিধানের আরো একটি বৈশিষ্ট হলো ন্যায়পালের পদ সৃষ্টি। সংসদ আইনের দ্বারা এ পদ সৃষ্টি করতে পারবে। ন্যায়পাল যেকোনো মন্ত্রণালয়, সরকারি কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীর বিরুদ্ধে প্রয়োজন তদন্ত চালাতে পারবেন। তিনি একমাত্র সংসদের নিকট স্থানী থাকবেন।

9. সুপ্রিম কোর্ট প্রতিষ্ঠাঃ সংবিধান অনুযায়ী সুপ্রিম কোর্ট হচ্ছে দেশের সর্বোচ্চ আদালত। সংবিধানের আয়োতায় প্রধান বিচারপতি ও অন্য বিচারপতিগণ স্বাধীনভাবে বিচার কার্য পরিচালনা করতে পারবেন। তিনি একমাত্র সংসদের নিকট দায়ী থাকবেন।

10. প্রশাসনিক ট্রাইব্যুনালঃ বাংলাদেশের সংবিধানে সাধারণ বিচার অতিরিক্ত সংসদ কর্তৃক আইনের দ্বারা এক বা একাধিক কর্মচারী নিয়োগ, বদলি, বরখাস্ত, পদোন্নতি, দন্ড এবং রাষ্ট্রায়ত্ত সম্পত্তি পরিচালনা ও ব্যবস্থাপনা সম্পর্কিত বিষয়াদি এর এখতিয়ারভুক্ত। 😯
