Catching up on 'Color Month'... still got lots of colors to share! Whew... When you're dreaming of the Golden Arches... you become all yellow!💛 Aww, what does this mean? Of course not jaundice... which is one of the most popular color in medicine aside from bloody red! I didn't have liver problems though... Hehe! Nor it means the yellow code used in hospitals for an impending emergency or external disaster. I, on the other hand, was not a missing person...😁 Neither the yellow in the triage for emergency medical response, which indicates priority number two (for moderate to serious injury or illness)... However, I was not sick nor injured... But got the universal feeling which all of the med people have after a 24 hours shift... "Hunger pangs attack!!" Ouch! Being so groggy, hungry & tired, all at the same time from my duty status the whole night, all I ever wanted to do first was... not to go home and sleep... but, to go and eat at McDonald's!!😆 Yeah, absolutely! In honor of "National Physicians Week," here are some memorable moments of me in a Mcdo outlet a couple of years ago... (I'm not endorsing Mcdo... But believe it or not, even the name of the street in Marikina City was McDonald's Avenue!) It was only a block away from the hospital where I was doing my internship, so I had to stop by there first and eat breakfast before heading home. Since off-duty Interns no longer receive free meals from the hospital's cafeteria, dropping by at Mcdo had become a habit for me every morning after my shift. It was simply relaxing to sit and hang out there for a while, sipping my hot chocolate drink and munching on my hot cake, McMuffin sausage and hash brown.😋 Yumyum! Each bite felt very soothing, as if the night's hard work had finally paid off... Yay, 'ang babaw lang talaga ang kaligayahan' (happiness was really shallow), but it had made my day!
