I just wanted to share our simple collage photo from New Year's Eve... I just hope, it's not yet too late!😉 Since we are a small family of four, we did not prepare much food. Our main dish was roasted chicken, known as 'litsong manok.' We bought two of them because they are the boys' favorite. As a conservative Christian, we don't believe in superstitions or traditions, just like what they say that it's bad to serve chicken or any bird during the new year because the chicken will fly the goodluck away. I just think otherwise, the chicken might fly the goodluck towards you!😆 We didn't have also those fruit-filled prosperity basket... The fruits, of course, were stored in the refrigerator to keep them fresh!😆😁 And we didn't do the tossing of 'lucky coins' or putting them on doorsteps, nor did we wear certain colors or do certain things, such as jumping to grow taller. There are many other more beliefs practiced during the new year that even our neighbors did. But as for us, we just have a simple celebration with no complexities or extravagance. However, I respect those who engage in such behavior because it is possible that it is what gives them confidence and happiness! Instead, I believe in the power of prayer and hard work, as the adage goes, 'Do your best and God will do the rest'! Of course, if you want to prosper, you must put in the effort and pray for God's blessings. What about you Noise friends?
