Revenge of Humiliation:
Tenali Ram had heard that King Krishnadeva Raya respects the intellect and qualities. He thought, why not go to their place and try their luck. But going to the king without any recommendation was crooked. He started looking for some such opportunity. When he could meet an important person.
Meanwhile, Tenaliram was married to Magamma, a distant girl. A year later, he had a son. These days Rajguru of King Krishnadeva Raya went to a place called Mangalagiri. Ramalinga did great service to him and narrated his problem.
The Rajguru was very clever. He did a lot of service from Ramalinga and kept promising promises. Ramalinga means Tenaliram believed his words and did one day and night to keep Rajguru happy. The Rajguru kept talking smooth things from above, but mind-to-mind started burning with Tenaliram.
He thought that if such a wise and learned person entered the king's court, his own value would fall. But while leaving, he promised - 'Whenever I feel that the occasion is right, I will call the king to introduce you.' Tenaliram waited anxiously for Rajguru's call, but the call was neither to come nor came.
People would laugh and ask him, 'Why brother Ramling, have you packed the goods to go?' Someone would say, 'I have heard that the king has sent a special envoy to go to Vijayanagar.' Will. ’But his faith in mind rose from the Rajguru.
Tenaliram waited for a long time in the hope that Rajguru would call him Vijayanagara. Finally disappointed he decided that he himself would go to Vijayanagar. He sold his house and all the household items, collected travel expenses and left for Vijayanagar with mother, wife and child.
In the journey, where there was an obstacle, Tenaliram named Rajguru, said, "I am his disciple." He said to his mother, "See? Where Rajguru was named, the problem was solved. Whatever be the person himself, if his name is high, then all the obstacles start to be removed automatically. I also have to change my name.
To show my respect to King Krishnadeva Raya, I should also add the word Krishna in his name to my name. From today onwards my name was Ramakrishna instead of Ramalinga. '
'Son, for me both names are equal. I still call you Ram, I will call you in the future too. ”Mother said.
At a place called Kodavid, Tenaliram met the head of state there, who was related to the Prime Minister of Vijayanagar. He told that Maharaj is very virtuous, scholar and generous, but when he gets angry sometimes, he is beheaded on sight. 'Man cannot succeed unless he takes the threat. I can save my head.
There was confidence in Tenaliram's voice. The Head of State also told him that the Prime Minister also respects a virtuous person, but there is no place for such people, who cannot help themselves. Tenaliram reached Vijayanagar with his family after a long journey of four months. He was stunned after seeing the glow there.
The wide roads, the crowds, the crowds, the elephants, the decorated shops and the magnificent buildings - all this was new to him. ”He prayed for a family to stay there for a few days. There he left his mother, wife and child and reached the Rajguru. There was no place for the crowd there.
From the great staff of the palace to the cook were gathered there. The servants too were few. Tenaliram sent a message to a servant to tell him that Ram had come from Tenali village. The servant came back and said, "Rajguru has said that he does not know any person of this name."
Tenaliram was very surprised. He rushed back to the Rajguru, repelling the servants, "Rajguru, didn't you recognize me?" I am Ramalinga, who served you in Mangalagiri. ”When Rajguru wanted to recognize him. He shouted to the servants and said, 'I don't know who this man is, knock him out and throw him out.'
The servants pushed Tenaliram out. People standing around were shocked at this scene. He was never insulted like this. He decided in his own mind that he would avenge his insult to the Rajguru. But before that it was necessary to win the heart of the king.
The next day he reached the court. He saw that there is a debate going on in full swing. What is world? what is life? Such big things were being debated. A pandit, expressing his views, said, "This world is a hoax." What we see, hear, feel, taste or smell is only in our view. Actually this is not all, but we think that happens. '
"Is that really so?" Said Tenaliram. "The same thing is said in our scriptures as well." Panditji asked a little puzzledly and asked. And everyone kept quiet. How can the scriptures be a lie.
But Tenaliram believed in his intellect more than the scriptures. He told all the people sitting there, 'If this is the case then why don't we check the truth of this idea of Panditji. A feast is being given today on behalf of our generous chef, we will eat it wholeheartedly. Pray to Panditji to sit and think that he is also eating. '
Tenaliram's voice was loud. As soon as Panditji's appearance was made, Maharaj was so pleased with Tenaliram that he presented him a plate of Swarnamudras and at that time made Tenaliram a king jester. Everyone welcomed the announcement of Maharaj by cheering, Rajguru was also among them.
