Where does the sweat come from?

Sweat comes out of the small sweat glands on the skin all over the body. Fluid comes out of these glands when they are triggered or stimulated by nerves. Sweat consists of water, sodium, and other substances in the body that need to be released.

Why do you suffer from sweating?

Sweating is a way for the body to cool down the heating system. In the case of machines, this is the body's cooling system to prevent over-heat. Sweating may occur when the weather is hot, the body is tired from active activities such as running or playing outside, or there is a sudden emotional change in the body such as nervousness.

What are the beneficial effects of sweating health?

In addition to maintaining proper body temperature, sweating has other beneficial effects on health. These include the following:

1. Good blood flow to the body. One of the best benefits of sweating is better blood circulation in the body. As the body sweats, the heart also doubles as it pumps blood throughout the body. In addition to being able to supply oxygen to different parts of the body faster, it also removes waste products more quickly and is absorbed by sweat.

2. Detoxification. Sweat comes with some chemicals that can be considered body waste. These include sodium, nicotine derived from smoking, heavy metals, alcohol and even cholesterol. These substances, if accumulated in the body, can have side effects over time just like having cancer.

3. Reduction of excess body fat. Exercise is the best way to burn excess body fat. But other than that, the very process of sweating after exercise also helps in reducing fats.

4. It makes you feel good. According to some studies, along with sweating, the nerves in the brain also release chemical endorphins. This chemical has a soothing effect, reduces stress, and also relieves the pain experienced by the body.

5. Heals wounds. Another good effect of sweating is that the wound heals faster. According to a study by Laure Rittie of the University of Michigan, some stem cells contain sweat, which helps to close open wounds more quickly.

6. Natural defense against infection. Sweat also helps fight germs that want to invade the skin. In the event of a skin lesion or insect bite, sweat incorporates a form of the body's natural antibiotic called dermcidin and fights against germs.
