We just arrived home from the town proper. We did not realize earlier that today is Thursday, that means market day. Main roads going to the public market were blocked to give way for the vendors to sell their products. Me and Jowa are confused, and we went to a street on a motorbike that supposedly a ‘NO ENTRY’ zone! We were called out by the market guards. Fudge! They called us as if we killed somebody or did a serious crime. What the fudge!? They told us in an almost screaming tone that it’s a ‘No Entry’ zone. We did not see any signage that tells that it’s a ‘No Entry’ zone. We politely said that we don’t know as we did not see any signage. They were about to sermon us and hold us for a few minutes when somebody asked for our address. I told them that we are from the neighboring town and we are just here to get an important document, which is the truth, and we did not realize that it’s the town’s market day. They let us go after they knew that we are not from their town. I wish they acted nicely and did not over react. We do respect people in authority and of course the laws and rules, but I hope they reciprocate that. Iba talaga pag sa Davao City. People in authority are very respectful even you unknowingly violate certain traffic rules. They will just question you and tell you next time ha wag na ulet gagawin or else bibigyan na ng ticket. This made me miss Davao City. Traffic enforcers do their jobs and hindi lang patambay-tambay while waiting for people na makagawa ng mistake. Jusme! If they were really doing their job dun sana sila pumwesto sa entrance and i-guide yung mga papasok. Eh nag-aantay lang ata sila sa pinwestuhan nila na may maling makapasok para makapanita. Hayyys! Sorry for the rant. This will be the first and the last.
