Was it the room-mate rustling so loud? Yes, it was. . . the first time.

But later, 3AM, rustling.. wake up a bit in the dark. Rapid scampering.. Barefoot on floor only long enough to get socks and shoes. Check walls, doors, closets, corners.

Really need to seal up windows opened onto the main street where the morning recycling is set out the night before for pickup. Fresh air = fresh rats.
