My mind went blank and nostalgia hit me so hard when I recall those old days when there is no technology like how things go change in a blink of an eye in this modern era. Every day instead of spending time with our loved ones we are struggling with our anxiety and depression because life is an amalgamation of happy and sad moments.

A visit to my Grandparent's house in a village after a decade:

A Few days back, I was at my Grandmother's house to celebrate the occasion of Eid. There is not so much use of technology, natural atmosphere, early sleeping and early waking up lifestyle, No sense of fashion and simplicity is at its peak like before. Here I am seeing nothing changed yet Everything is just the same as our childhood period. There is not so much use of technology, natural atmosphere, houses are made up of muds, the Traditional dishes, early sleeping and early waking up lifestyle, There were no sense of fashion and Simplicity is at its peak.

This made me think and remember the time when everyone used to sit together and talk on a specific topic, there was no phone and no waiting is for notification, just us and our family, sometimes I think technology turned out to be so cruel, to take away our precious moment from us.

Those days did not revolve around a cell phone or the internet only, on the contrary, we tried to spend most of it sharing with our family, and friends, playing, and observing our environment, our concerns were more about what dessert we would eat on the weekend and if they would show that animated series that we liked so much.

I also remember as a child writing cards to each other, watching the moon at night, playing Circle (Stapoo) games counting the stars, And then there were the countless stars that you count but it was always forgotten after sometime lol😂

If you are remembering, let's just drown ourselves in the sea of memories!

Did you Remember?

  • We Went to grand parents' house every holiday and then play with cousins there.

  • The taste of Grandma's hand-carrot halwa (sweet) is made up of natural ingredients that are full of love and satisfaction.

  • The natural atmosphere and freshness of the Fields make the view more mesmerizing.

  • The appealing noise of water running in a tube well and Eating fresh cucumber and watermelon along the side of the river gives us different kinds of vibes.

  • Telling stories to all cousins, essentially older ones take advantage and always try to give mini attacks to little ones. Start fighting hilariously with each other, getting angry, and then agreeing again.

  • On a day of Eid wearing bangles with your clothes and putting round henna on your hand from your elder cousin, eating Samosas and Pani Puri, and buying some accessories from stalls, a family trip to a Mangla dam how lovely those days were.

  • Tea from mother's hand every evening with fries too and then a lot of Gossip, especially when it rains.

Yeah, this happened at that time too but now I think We are so attached to our mobile phones that it is no longer that case.

All is still not lost Yet:

Today everything has changed, I want to live that life again, even if we want that time, we can't bring back that childhood, but we can just remember these days.

The world is moving at too fast a pace, and we worry more about the messages that are arriving than the environment that surrounds us.

However all is not lost, it depends on each one of us, to recover those golden times, to live life again without living with those ties to technology, we need it of course, but we can leave it aside when we want, and focus on those little moments that make our lives something unique and special.

Village life is very adorable. I love nature and bird sounds early in the morning. Like to watch when the sun is rising and dawn. Nowadays, villages also become modern. Now people enjoy modern life as well as the village together.
