Tips on how to maximize your productivity are flooding the internet since everyone wants to work efficiently.
According to a new studies that scientist have conducted, being productive is not about what you are doing rather when you are doing it also counts.
Scientist from Monash University in Australia and the University of Granada researched in finding the time of the day where you are productive or efficient when performing cognitive tasks like paying attention, solving complex problems and what have you.
From the research the most productive time of performance is around Lunchtime. That is around 1:30pm.
The study, which was published in a new working paper by the IZA Institute of Labor Economics, a non-profit research institute based in Germany, analyzed half a million exams taken by university students in the United Kingdom at three distinct times of day: 9:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 4:30 p.m.
Based on five years of exam scores, and an average of six exams per student, the researchers found that “peak performance” happens around 1:30 p.m. slot.
So try doing it.It wont work for everybody though.Try scheduling tasks that involve a high mental effort around lunchtime.Maybe it would work for you.
