Bulls/Cows hate the color red. Myth or Fact?

Dressed in a red shirt and pink pair of troussers with red shoes you are on your way to your friends house. On your route, you see some cows or bulls grazing on the field. You quickly realize that you are in red, with pink colored troussers(which looks like red) and a red sneakers. What will you do? Would you run to escape the bulls/Cows so they won't run towards you? Would you walk slowly, tip toeing so they won't get your attention.

The question is do bulls hate the color red?. Does it scare them? Does it burn their eyes?

Actually, Bulls are colorblind to red. As a result they are not irritated by the color red you are dressed in. Then why do bulls charge to the red cape of a matador. Is it because the cape is usually red?.

The bulls are not irritated by the red cape instead they are irritated by the the capes movement when the matador whips it.

To test this hypothesis, scientist perform three experiment.First, they put three stationary flags, which were red, blue and white, in the bull’s enclosure. The bull charged all three flags regardless of color. Secondly, they put three dummies dressed in red, blue and white in the ring, and again the bull charged all three without discrimination and the red dummy was charged last . Lastly, they put a live person dressed in red in the ring with the bull. That person stood still while two cowboys (who are not in red) moved around the ring. The bull went after the moving cowboys and left the motionless red-clad person alone.

From the experiment, we saw that the bulls were rather irritated due to the movement around them.

So if you see cows/bulls on your route, do not be scared. Just walk gently as you would walk if you hadn't seen a bull. If you are in red do not be frightened, bulls are colorblind to red.
