Manchester United lost their first match of the season to Crystal Palace today in Old Trafford stadium in England.
Andros Townsend gave Crystal Palace the lead in the 7th minutes of the match. Manchester United had the highest percentage of ball possession in the first half and second half but they failed to convert their chances.
Crystal Palace was given a penalty in the 72 minutes due to a hand ball offense from Manchester United centre back Nilsson Lindeloef, in which Jordan Ayew failed to score for Crystal Palace. However the penalty was retaken by Wilfred Zaha in the 74 minutes and he made no mistake of putting the ball in the back of the net.
Donny Van de Beek who was substituted into the match during the second half scored the only goal for Manchester United in the 80 minutes while Wilfred Zaha scored the 3rd goal for Crystal Palace in the 85 minutes.
The match ended 3-1 in favour of Crystal Palace.
