Generally speaking, I don't suggest a student work and start to make money because I believe students should focus on education and securing good grades. They can build a lucrative career only when they are graduated with good grades. However, if students are under the compulsion to make money, here is my take on how a student can make money.

Making Money For Students: Selling On Online Marketplaces

In my opinion, the best way to make money for students is to sell online, especially through the marketplaces like etsy, ebay, zazzle, redbubble, teespring, etc.

First of all, you do not have to spend money to start selling on these platforms. Secondly, you don't need to spend a lot of money to buy or create products to sell on these platforms, thirdly, you can actually make a lot of money.

In order to sell on eBay, you can do two things, you can either buy a product from a thrift shop and put it for sale on ebay, or use dropship method. You can also buy products from cheaper marketplaces to sell for a higher price on ebay (for example, you can buy products from alibaba to sell on ebay. Likewise, you can also sell your own products that you do not need any more. You can sell your old phone, old computer, old consoles, etc.

I think etsy is better than ebay in terms of generating income because you can sell digital products on etsy and you do not have to create digital products again and again as the same product can be downloaded multiple times. Another great platform is redbubble, which is completely free to start but gives you unlimited opportunities to make money. Red Bubble is Print On Demand Store. In my opinion, print on demand businesses are the best method to make money for students because they do not require any investment

Making Money Through Online Surveys

Yes, students can make money through online surveys sites. However, in order to make money on these platforms, you need to understand a couple of things.

If you are a student based in Nigeria, you do not have any chance of making money from surveys. However, if you are a student in the US or the UK, you can make quite a good amount from surveys. Surveys are not available for low-tier countries, even if they are available, these surveys are low-paying.

Making Money From Paid to Post Sites

A student can of course earn from paid to post site, however, it takes a lot of time to make money on paid to post sites. For example on trendri, in order to make just $1, you will have to spend at least 2 hours and write over 2000 words (for posts and threads). This might not be very possible for students. There are of course paid to post sites with high pay rates, for example, The Forum Wheel, however, the market is competitive, and not many forums are available for posting.

Making Money on Youtube

I believe that youtube is one of the best platforms for students to make money online. Actually, I see a lot of students trying to use youtube for income. I have an 11 years old nephew, he says he wants to be a YouTuber. When I ask him what do you want to do on youtube, he says he wants to stream games and make money as a gamer on youtube. In fact, he already has a youtube channel. Once he asked me to help him build followers, and I asked my friends and clients to help the child. He has over 1000 subscribers but yet not reached 4000 hours watch time. Even if he could reach 4000 hours watch time, he will not be accepted by adsnese because he needs to be at least 18 years to use adsense. he can use his parents' gmail to create adsnese, but he says he wants to try only when he reaches legal age and in the meantime, I continue building the channel. He believes just because your videos are running adsense, you will be making money, you need tons of traffic and he wants to work to build subscribers and traffic.
