On Fiverr you can sell any kind of skill from voiceovers to designing, editing, writing, etc. On Upwork, you can find any kind of jobs from writing ebooks to writing sales pitches, from designing a simple website to building an ecommerce site, or even simple jobs like data entry, resume writing, etc. 99Designs is mostly reserved for designers, if you are a graphic designer or web designer, 99Designs has plenty of works. SEOClerks is mainly about finding SEO related works, however, you can find other works like writing, logo design etc on this platform. In my experience, freelance sites are the best sites to make money. However, in order to work and make money on these sites, you need skills, for example, if you want to work and earn as a graphic designer, you need skills with photoshop, InDesign, Corel Draw, etc. In order to work as a video editor, you need skills with Adobe Premiere. My Experience With Freelancing

I work on some of the top freelancing sites and based on my experience I can say that these platforms are very competitive and getting a job or selling a gig is very difficult not just for newbies but even for the established freelancers. For example, I have been working on upwork for 2 years and I still get rejected by the clients. Well, you are frequently rejected, yet there are also a lot of opportunities. You are rejected on one job, and there are dozens of other jobs where you can apply. Freelancing marketplaces have high commission rates, these platforms cut a large percentage of your earnings, however, they also provide you a lot of jobs. For instance, if I earn $100, there is no problem if I am charged a 20 percent commission.

One of the major improvements I want to see on these sites is these sites need to be a little easy with newbies. They should not let newbies compete with the experienced, there should be a different category for the newbies where a newbie can compete with another newbie, instead of competing with the experienced freelancer. I think this will come as a benefit for employers as well as freelance platforms. A newbie can do a logo for $5, however, an experienced freelancer might charge $20 or even more. Newbies are new freelancers on the site, but being a newbie does not mean they are less qualified. When employers can find services for cheap, they will order more, and the site will also earn more commission. Most of the freelancer sites are very difficult for newbies.
