You will be working every day to make money every day. However, youtube can become your passive income source. You will need to put in a lot of videos and years of hard work to make YouTube your passive income source. Generating revenue on youtube does not happen overnight, you will have to work for months, to see earnings on your channels, and have to work for years before you can actually build passive income.

Blogging is not completely a passive income method. Blogging means you maintain a website, when you maintain a website you need to frequently publish new content, do SEO and digital marketing, update your old content, moderate comments on your site, reply to the comments, etc. and all of these work requires you to spend hours every day. When you have to work every day to generate income, you cannot call it passive income. Having said that blog can be a passive income if you have managed to build organic traffic.
Blogging is not entirely passive income, it can be called semi-passive income. It took me over six months to make my first dollar from my blog. Before I earned a buck, I had to publish one new article every week, spend hours promoting content on social media and doing SEO, sending emails, etc.
There are numerous methods to make money from your blog, however, you need huge traffic to earn from your blog no matter which monetization method you are using. Your blog will become a passive income source only when you are able to generate at least 1-2k daily traffic. In order to generate that kind of traffic, you will have to work really hard, even for years.
