It makes me feel uncomfortable when humans are "fans" of other people. Celebrity culture freaks me out. When you beg for attention or acknowledgement from another human, you're telling that person that they're better than you... They're not. What is the psychological condition that causes people to act like this?? #Psychology

I dont know maybe they are immature. They will learn it with time and age eventually.
I hope it is something people can grow out of...
Good question. When I was a teenager I wanted to be a rock star, and I was a "fan" of rock stars to the extent I wanted to emulate their lifestyle. As I've gotten older, I don't envy celebrities at all, because fame is such a pain in the butt. I'd still like to have their wealth and power, but without all the attention.
It's a good point... I have people who I look up to in certain areas of life, in a mentor or role model way, and as a teen I had posters like everyone else. But I don't feel like I could worship those humans or beg for them to acknowledge me. I suppose the right recipe could be "wealth, power, with less public attention"...
I had a really great poster of a long haired Jimmy Page pounding on his guitar. When I went away to college, my mama took it down and tore it up! :-(
Nooo that's mean. I take it your mama wasn't a Led Zeppelin fan?
She wasn't a fan of men having long hair and playing rock music. Sex, Drugs, Rock-n-Roll was NOT her style!
