Presentation night for #ArtParkWeekly : #Slowvember This week's challenge consisted in drawing a chill and cozy artwork, and for me, those words are related to: coffee, puppies, comfy clothes and the color pink. All of these are included in this draw. Are you relatable to this draw? Let me know~ I'm not used to this style of coloring, it was quite a big deal for me, and I'm questioning myself about many decisions I took, specially for the background. But I'm pretty cool with the main element: the legs and socks. Nice socks 🧦 btw.

Hanzell, You look through me as an X-Ray 🤣🤣 I was like "should I color it safely in digital or try those pink forgotten color pencils..." Also: "I could save the lineart, try both and show the best. Or not" 🤷 🤦🤦🤦
Was it a mix of both though? It looks mostly color pencil because of how evened out the ambiance is OnO Meanwhile I'm trying to cartoon myself yet I can't get rid of my blending habits so it still doesn't look cartoon 🤣
Yeah, I usually overthink about everything. It's my personal curse 🤷🌈 I only used color pencils, even for the lineart. I have the same situation with blending. Specially with markers 🙈
I have the same thing 🤣 and they say art is calming! It's just amusing when you pull off a technique but it's in no way calming. I love what you did with the color penciling though OwO it came out so smooth and I love the even texture I basically blend everything 😅 it's the struggle with growing up to a reali art style
I find the sketching phase calming. When I got stressed is while trying realism. Over goes for perfection but even a pencil sharpened improperly can destroy everything 🤦 I think that at style is called the stain technique. I confess I don't know if that's the he name in English.
I feel this in so many ways XD and this is why I focused on pens when my hand got more used to traditional I have no idea what that technique is OnO I know stain technique is a watercolor thing???
No. The technique in talking about is not exclusively for watercolor. I shall watch some videos in order to know the real name and share with you. It is a technique used for painting in general: oil, acrylics and even digital Art.
I should go look that up, it might come in handy one of these days
