Learning has always been an important aspect of life. A life without learning only depreciates until it decays and turns into sand. Of what use is the brain if it doesn't get active ? But how then does the brain get active? Only through learning....
A fact of life that I have come to discover is that the brain learns every ticking second ( consciously or unconsciously). It does this by picking up things around it or anything that crosses its region or field. I call this region the BRAIN WAVE REGION. This region is well electrified and very sparky.
But then, another fact of life I recently discovered is that if we don't control what goes into our brain, it might end up getting and grabbing the wrong things or the irrelevant things around it. This is why we must consciously allow or prohibit what enters our brain to equip it or degrade it.
One sure way of doing this is by using a particular method of learning. There are so many methods of learning but the best out of them all is the one called FEYMAN'S METHOD OF LEARNING.
This method is actually very precise and narrows down every necessary detail into the brain. It was invented by Richard Feyman, a theoretical physicist of the post-World War II era who was best known for his excellent work on quantum physics and other aspects of theoretical physics.
I used this method of learning throughout my year in school as a Physics/Electronics student. It really worked out well for me and helped me through my seminars academic project as a final year student. Come on let's bring down the details of this method of learning.
FEYNMAN'S METHOD OF LEARNING
Step 1: Read Up Any Concept You Like On Any Subject Or Field(Be It Medical, Or Engineering)
This step is very essential because the first step of most learning boils down to reading something. The effects of reading on the brain can't be overemphasized. It's the main brain developer. It fills the brain and makes it fresh and excited.
In this step , it's advisable to go for concepts of our interest that is ; whatever that catches our fancy. This is because reading has always been about something interesting, exciting and appealing. The mind is always intrigued and refreshed by a new knowledge being learnt just like a fresh wine refreshes the tongue.
Step 2: Find Someone To Teach That Concept(Maybe a child or friends)
There's one magic teaching does to the teacher. It makes them very very much alert and equipped in the brain. This is because in teaching, what we know is reaffirmed and inscribed in our brains more strongly. Our knowledge of a concept is consolidated more by teaching that concept because as we do so,we are also teaching ourselves back and learning that concept the second time. This is to say that we also learn double from teaching.
Step 3: Revise the concept
Revision of something read is very similar to gathering up all we have learnt into a secure barn and locking them up with a key. Reading only excites our brain and opens its eyes to a certain horizon of knowledge which it has not seen before. But revision of what has been read is more like picking up the important factors about that concept and holding them together.
In revision, the dots are connected to make out the sense in which the concept trying to convey.
Step 4: Review the concept and simplify it.
In this step, we must have understood everything that is important and relevant to our study of the concept. This is why we can easily conclude and simplify the concept into a theory or a sentence of our own. This is where we are able to use our own simple words to explain the concept without deviating from its original meaning and intention.
In this step,we can easily make a child understand what we are trying to say or teach. This is actually the goal: Making knowledge simple
This step is where quotes and wise sayings are formulated and proposed. Theories and principles are also made at this stage.
Final Step: Then Repeat Step 2 And 4
This method of learning is then inscribed on the brain forever through consistency. This consistency is by simply repeating steps 2 and 4 at each period of time ( Maybe once in a week or less).
This learning method has been tested and trusted for years by scholars, professors and scientists alike. It is a confirmed way of brain development. It also helps the human brain to regain or develop a retentive memory.
