Yesterday was a blast. I had a different agenda but it turned out a very sophisticated well-spent sunday.
My cousin has been bugging me since last Month to come into their home and we'll go visit her house which she and her husband took 5 years paying and is now ready for viewing and ready to add some furniture and such. She also want me to make a layout of her house because they have a plan on adding second floor. So after a month of battling with my laziness I finally agree with her. Since I have been spending my time to social medias and in bed during sundays I have finally have a chance to connect with other people and have a talk. Though, we aren't that close.
I got in their home by 8pm last saturday. And we leave around 8:30 am on Sunday. We spent 3hrs of travel, ah very long trip. I am thankful that we rode in his husbands family vehicle, which is an L300. Tair-conditioned type, haha or else I go puke after the ride. My cousins kids are with us, two cute girls. And I admire them from being happy the entire ride and they keep mentioning to me. "Tita we'll go in the playground!". I haven't been there so I had no idea with the playground.
The kids are named after a famous singers. Haha. Yah my cousins a fan. The eldest is named after Rihana and the youngest is named after Miley. They both are cute. Of course kids. Haha. So we get into their house. The place is hot. Haha. And they have the same designs.
When I get into the house here are the things that I noticed.
There is no column and beams.
I was like? What? Basically when you buy on developing subdivision and you choose bungalow houses they would just install the walls and I am afraid if the house will last longer.
And the thing here is, they needed to install columns and beams so we can add floors. And that would require a lot of repairs meaning-- money and time.
There are a lot of wall and hairline cracks. If you want to sign badly the papers you should have them repaired and I told my cousin about it. But they say they want the house no matter what it looks. And I was like, uhm, okay. But heres my take, if ever you are going to build a house or buy, you need to check everything before signing all the papers. Because everything that you pay should be of good condition. Money wise.
Yayy enough for these technicalities. So after having a lunch I collected enough information and datas I would need for the layout. The place is good and I can see that the houses near everywhere will be filled and occupied. And I can see a good community growing inside the subdivision.
And as I mentioned we went with the kids and they want Ice cream! So we went to the store. I am amazed that though there is a lil community occupying the area, there is already a store with Ice cream. Business is business. My cousin's house has no current yet. We bought Ice pops, chocolates and melon. Haha. I can't help being a kid. You know if you're surrounded with great people, chances are you become like them. If you were with kids, you are open to do what they do, be amazed like they do and you can also be as happy as them. I ate a lot of Ice cream before, when I was a kid, my father can be an Ice cream vendor on summer, fisherman and a farmer on rainy days and carpenter for a stable income. So whenever he's selling Ice creams, he would bring Ice cream for us. And it is supeeer ugh, I missed home. Lol.
So the kids love the Ice cream! Am glad they didn't ask for more because I didn't bring enough money with me. Haha. I am kuripot. So kids being so hyper asked me to go with them and we'll run into the playground. So being concerned by them not having an adult around I tag along and we run. I almost lost my breath while running and talking telling them to go slower because they might fall on the ground. And they didn't listen to me. Haha. So me when I was a kid.
When we reached the playground. I saw a pool, not yet filled with water. I saw a clubhouse, not yet opened. And the playground has a city vibe, though the place is very far from the city. And I'm quite impress. Haha. Well most subdivision I saw has a playground but they looks dry and abandoned. Haha.
The kids play on the slide and the seesaw.
When we were a kid the seesaw we played are extreme. Haha. And the slide we play is more dangerous. One because, the seesaw we used to play are made of big round logs, coming from the trees that has been damaged by typhoons, also, 6-10 person can played on the seesaw. It is more dangerous yet it is fun and exhilarating. Second, the slide we play were on the mountains where we used to sit in the leaves of the coconut tree and slide to death. Haha.
They were very very happy and I can feel it, and maybe that was me before. The laughters are superb, and genuine. If everyday they would play on it, the happiness won't be like that pure. Because, on their house where they live there is no playground. The placed has a tight road and they can only play on the small place. I am still thankful that I have live my youth in the province, I have tried a lot of games on the land and mountains and sea. And that was entirely different from what my nieces are having. When everything turns out like a no no covid cases, I'd surely be home, and will invite them and play with them in the rice fields!
And then, out of nowhere my boss called. Haha. My sunday is ruined. Lmao.
And later in the afternoon we left the place, tired but I still feel I've made my Sunday productive.
Conclusion
I have come to realize that, I need to see people more often not only my officemate. The people around office are toxic and demanding. So I better stay connected! Lucky are those who can spend their time with their family, with their nieces and around kids having genuine happiness that is contagious.
Hey virus go away! Haha. I want to see faces of people and genuine smiles.
