Will Neuralink change the way we interact with each other and take over smartphones?

Elon Musk’s Neuralink, the very secretive company developing brain-machine interfaces, showed off some of the technology it has been developing to the public for the first time. The goal is to begin implanting devices in paralyzed humans, allowing them to control phones or computers.

The first big advance is flexible “threads,” which are less likely to damage the brain than the materials currently used in brain-machine interfaces. These threads also create the possibility of transferring a higher volume of data, The abstract notes that the system could include “as many as 3,072 electrodes per array distributed across 96 threads.”

THINNER THAN A HUMAN HAIR

The threads are 4 to 6 μm in width, which makes them considerably thinner and smaller than a human hair.

Musk elaborated on this ongoing mission of Neuralink’s research Tuesday night, though he said that it wasn’t simply for hype. “The primary reason for doing this presentation is recruiting,” Musk said, asking people to go apply to work there. Max Hodak, president of Neuralink, also came on stage and admitted that he wasn’t originally sure “this technology was a good idea,” but that Musk convinced him it would be possible.

Basically musk claimed that by 2025 this device will go on trial, The device is capable of changing the way we communicate, see the news, keep up with the world, and eventually will take over the use of smartphones.

All pieces of information will be perceived by using these threads signaling neurons into your brain! It will use Bluetooth technology to connect to the respondents and communication is going to be done telepathically instead of verbal!

He also claimed on Joe Rogan podcast that there may be a possibility in the future to fully re-live past memories using this technology which is absolutely insane and something out of science fiction movies!

biomechanics is very advanced and if that allows men with physical limitations to feel useful, then welcome all new technology- But if it is in order to displace man in making decisions and the daily tasks that human beings must perform, then we must stop and review that we can be wrong
