Untruth and truth
Written by Shankhini
Schaefer usually wakes up around eleven o'clock. His class is at twelve, he has to get ready and leave in an hour. But having online classes has been quite an advantage. He woke up at exactly twelve o'clock. After entering the online class and going back to sleep with attendants.
But he woke up very early today. It would be wrong to say that she got up, Shefa could not sleep all night. Yesterday I came to know a big truth about my life.
Shefa knows very well that her father metaphorically wakes up in the morning. So he called his father.
When Rupak picked up the phone, Shefa said calmly, "Good morning Dad."
Rupak was a little surprised and said, “Good morning. What's the matter It's so early this morning. "
"I woke up, what should I do?"
“Enjoy everything! The best part of the day is this morning. ”
"All right. What were you doing? ”
“Office Works. You? ”
"I don't know."
Schaefer's voice sounds a little different from normal, realizing the metaphor said, "Sheffa? Is everything alright? ”
"Huh."
"Didn't you quarrel with your mother again?"
"No!"
"How is your mother?"
"I don't know."
"Huh?"
"Actually, I'm at Nani's house now."
“What is he? Why are you out of the house in such a critical situation? ”
"I came after the mask, no problem."
"Why is it so important to get there?"
"I have made a very thoughtful decision, father. I should actually be with my grandparents. Grandparents but neutral, do not support you and do not support your mother. I want to be neutral like them. Isn't that a good idea? ”
"Shefa, what are you talking about?" There must have been some trouble with your mother again! ”
“There was no problem, father. I'm thirteen now and I can make my own decisions. ”
"Haven't you learned to be very mature?"
“Yes, I have learned. Now I have to enjoy the morning. ”
Leaving the phone, Shefa came and stood on the verandah. She sighed and looked up at the sky.
When Schaefer was six, his parents divorced. After the divorce, Shefa started living with his mother.
From an early age, Schaefer's mother, Rupa, insisted that Rupak was a characterless man. Rupa divorced him because of his relationship with more than one girl. That's why an invisible hatred of the father has been born in Schaefer's mind ever since. The metaphor sometimes came to meet the chef, but despised him.
The metaphor made thousands of attempts to make the girl happy. Sometimes by bringing innumerable toys for him, sometimes by taking him for a walk. But by then, the hatred for the metaphor had spread in Schaefer's mind.
Suddenly Schaefer's phone rang. Mother's name has appeared on the screen of the mobile.
Shefa picked up the phone and said in a tired voice, "What happened mother?"
Rupa said in a restless voice, “But you have misunderstood me. I can explain to you what really happened. ”
"I understand what I mean."
"What you saw is wrong."
“Did I see something wrong with my own eyes? Is that what you mean? ”
"You listen to me ..."
"I'm keeping it."
Shefa immediately hung up the phone.
Shefa was spending lazy time sitting in his room last evening. Then Rupa came to his house and asked him to send a mail. Rupa left with her phone in Schaefer's hand.
Shefa notices that a man is constantly texting his mother. Schaefer does not have the habit of blowing his nose at personal matters. Still, without knowing it, the pressure on that SMS went away.
Unbeknownst to her, putting pressure on SMS is the most awkward incident of her life. Shefa saw that the man had sent some pictures taken with Rupa to Rupa again. They are not normal pictures, offensive pictures. The pictures are so offensive that it is no longer possible for Schaefer to look at them.
Suddenly he thought, what is written below the pictures should be read once. Below the pictures, the man writes, “Remember, your family broke up because of these pictures? But we should spend time again. Now you are not afraid to break up the family! Ha, ha, ha. ”
After reading the text, Schaefer's whole body was shaking, his head was spinning like a whirlwind, his breathing was getting heavy.
Meanwhile, Rupa came and said, "Kire, have you sent the mail?"
There was no sound coming out of Schaefer's mouth. He put the phone on the bed and stood up.
Then Rupa's eyes fell on the screen of the phone.
Realizing everything, Rupa said in a panicked voice, "Shefa, what really happened ..."
Shefa stopped her and said in a cold voice, "Mom, I will go to Nani."
"Listen to me first."
"Please don't insist me to live with you."
Shefa is still standing on the verandah. The doorman of his grandmother's house suddenly came to the verandah and said in a hushed voice, "Brother is coming to see you in your log?"
Shefa was a little surprised and said, "Where is Dad?"
"Down, is there a boy in the car?"
Shefa immediately came down. Seeing his father's black car parked, a strange peace worked in him.
As soon as Shefa got in the car, Rupak got busy and said, "Where is the mask?"
"That's it."
“Why in hand? Wear it! ”
Shefa, wearing a mask, said, "Do you really drive yourself?"
"Hmm, the driver left home before the normal holiday."
"How long after leaving the house?"
“About three months. I do not want to leave the house for fear. I went to see what you are doing here. ”
Shefa smiled and said, "You're so good, Dad."
"Didn't I get better because I came to see you?"
"It simply came to our notice then. You are very good at Altugedar. ”
"Why did it suddenly feel like that?"
"Why didn't you tell me the truth?"
"Any truth?"
“Why let me live in lies for so many years? The truth can never be kept secret, one day it will come out in front of everyone. ”
"What do you mean, Shefa?" But I do not understand anything. ”
Shefa said with a tear in the corner of her eye, "You weren't the reason for your divorce, weren't you?"
Schaefer heard this question and took the shape of a metaphorical pillar.
He said in silence for a long time, "How do you know?"
“Answer my question first! Wasn't the mother the reason for the divorce? ”
"Huh."
"Why didn't you tell me before?" I literally hate you. If I didn't know myself, maybe I would have misunderstood you all my life! Why didn't you tell me? ”
"Because I didn't want you to hate your mother all your life," said Rupak.
"But now I'm doing it!"
"You have no right to hate your mother, Shefa."
"He played with your emotions."
“What do you have in it? I haven't played with your emotions anymore. Why do you hate him? ”
"Are you saying that?"
"I am speaking. Because I have seen with my own eyes how much people have worked hard to bring you into the world. ”
Shefa remained silent. Her eyes are constantly watering.
The metaphor says again, “There is no need for you to hate a man just for me, Shefa. I am not angry with him. Why are you so angry? ”
"I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive my mother!"
“Why do you have to forgive? Nothing wrong has happened to you. What has happened has happened to me. ”
"Did you forgive my mother?"
"I did."
"Why?"
"What's the use of me being angry with a man all my life?"
"What should I do now?"
"All of this should be forgotten. The key to any relationship is to magnify each other's strengths and sidestep faults."
"Did you pass the blame at that moment?"
“No. Because I couldn't get over it, I made a difficult decision like divorce. Those who can follow these small mantras of the relationship are the ones who are really happy at the end of the day. ”
"Where are we going now?"
“In your real home. There is no need to be neutral from here. ”
Shefa laughed and said, “Grandparents don't support any of you. But now I can support both of you. ”
"That's a good idea!"
Returning home, Shefa saw Rupa sitting in a corner of the roof with an injured face. Shefa went and sat her down. Rupa was not surprised at all. It was as if he had been waiting for a chef for so long.
Rupa said in a sore throat, "Am I not too bad?"
Shefa remained silent.
Rupa said, “When we got divorced seven years ago, I was even worse. But I didn't want to be bad all my life. I have tried to get better little by little. Wanted to be the best mother in the world. I wanted to keep you with me all my life. ”
"Is that why you lied so much in your father's name?"
“Huh. The fear of losing you entered me. But I lost. ”
“Mom, you are my best friend. Bestfriends are always bestfriends. ”
Rupa was startled and said, "Can you forgive me for forgetting all this?"
After a moment of silence, Shefa said, "I can."
