Abdul Wadud Chowdhury and Healthy Heart Happy Life Organization (Hello) Chief Patron and Advisor Dr. Mohsin Ahmed. Dr. was in the performance. Faiza Rahla. The show aired simultaneously live on Prothom Alo's Facebook page and YouTube channel and SKF's Facebook page on September 25.
At first it became known the purpose and significance of the celebration of World Heart Day. Heart disease is the number one killer disease in the world today. About 18 million people, or 31 percent, die from the disease each year. World Heart Day has been celebrated every year since 2000 with new themes to raise awareness on heart disease prevention. This year's theme is Use to Heart to Beat Cardiovascular Disease.
The main goal of the World Heart Federation is to reduce the death rate from heart disease by 25 percent by 2025. And the most important thing is to prevent heart disease. It is not possible to reduce this death rate by mere remedy. Because 80 percent of the people who die from cardiovascular disease are people in low- and middle-income countries. Many do not have the ability to treat heart disease. For this we all need to be aware and sympathetic. You just have to be more discriminating with the help you render toward other people. Just as you have to take care of your own heart, you also have to take care of the heart of others.
The situation of heart disease in Bangladesh was discussed in the program. Experts lament that there is no accurate information on how many people die of heart disease in our country every year. One of the reasons for this is that very few people in this country go to the hospital before they die. In addition, in case of heart attack, in most cases, the patient dies before going to the hospital. It is seen not only in Bangladesh, but in all countries of the world.
According to experts, the death rate from heart disease in Bangladesh will be much higher than the rest of the world. Because, in Europe and America, people get heart attack after 60 years. And in our country it starts from the age of 20. Heart disease is on the rise among people in their 30s and 40s. In addition, many children and women with heart disease are seen here.
Many of us think of heart attack as heart disease. Heart disease is not just a heart attack. There can be many more heart problems. Such as pressure problems, heart valve defects, heart block, perforation, etc.
In our country, the rate of heart attack among the youth and children is increasing. Experts have blamed uncontrolled life management for this. In this country, children and teenagers now do less physical work and sports. They spend most of their time studying and playing games on their smartphones or computers. On the other hand, they are more prone to eating fast food. As a result, he is getting fat at a young age. Looking at the youth, it is seen that they are working all day to be successful in the workplace, they are not taking care of themselves. Not eating properly, not exercising. If you can't succeed again, you are easily drowning in despair. None of this is pulling everyone in one direction, and that is heart disease.
Keeping the heart healthy in the normal process is the main campaign of World Heart Day. For this you have to take care of your heart. Experts in heart health protection therefore suggest that first of all look at the way of life. Not too much, just a few things can save us from a variety of heart disease. As a rule, you have to walk for 40 minutes every day. You have to refrain from smoking. Eat nutritious food and avoid fast food.
Trans fat in fast food is responsible for the accumulation of fat in the body. Excess body fat is a major factor in heart disease. If one cannot give up fast food at all, he must reduce it for the sake of his own well-being. Besides, you have to walk or exercise to burn the fat obtained from such food. In addition, the dependence on rice should be reduced.
Many say that they do not have time for work or walking. If you want to stay healthy, you have to choose any time of the day and walk. Experts say that even if you can't walk for 40 minutes continuously, walking 10 minutes four times a day is enough for your body.
There is no substitute for a healthy lifestyle to survive not just heart disease, but any other major disease. And you have to develop good living habits from childhood. Those who become ‘couch potatoes’ while sitting on the sofa when they are young, have a higher risk of heart attack when they grow up. So parents need to keep an eye not only on their children's education but also on their health. They need to be motivated towards physical work and sports, given the opportunity to play sports. The government should also come forward for this. We have to take initiative to build playgrounds in the neighborhoods. In addition, public and private campaigns to prevent heart disease should be increased. And this is how we can get a healthy society without heart disease.
