Becoming eco-friendly is not only a wide

spreading trend, but it is becoming something

extremely necessary when considering the

severity of the state that the human footprint

is resulting in here on earth. By implementing

the change to introduce eco-friendly planning

methods into events, we will be able to provide

an extremely necessary example in the need

for everyone to consider going green!

Over the past 50 years, revenue management

has played a major role in many markets,

including hospitality and tourism, expanding

and growing. Defined as selling the right

inventory item to right customer at right time

at right price, revenue management uses a number

of tools for maximising revenue, such as

pricing, stock, marketing and distribution

networks. It was initially developed to

maximise the price of perishable products, the

development of its concept and application

coincided with its growth in the aviation, hotel,

cruise and other tourism sectors. Revenue

management research started in the airlines

and gradually spread to other related tourism

industries. In an event there are multiple positive and

negative impacts of leading to sustainability.

As the role of the organizer it is important to

increase the positive impacts and decrease

the negative impacts. At the award ceremony

and gala dinner there are two ways the hosts

are trying to minimize the problem of

sustainability. The first way is by providing

transport to the attendees and making them

car pool rather than getting to the event

separately and burning more energy. More energy is

being wasted with a single person coming to

an event and is saved with a multiple people

travelling in the same mode of transport to

reach the same destination.

Events play such a vital role in today's society,

when it comes to events lots of academic

authors have different perspectives on what

an event is and the importance of events in

different areas. An event could be considered

a gathering as suggested

that an event would be considered any type of

gathering that occurs at a given time in a

given place. This would suggest that an event

could take place anywhere for any reason as it

is a moment in time in which a gathering is

scheduled that takes place in a social area or

a unique moment in time to celebrate a

moment in time. For a consumer, an event may have a

completely different meaning for them

compared to an event manager as they both

have different wants and outcomes for an

event. For a consumer, they may have multiple

different reasons for going to an event such

as gaining knowledge, relaxing, having a

sense of community, fundraising etc. For an

event manager they are mostly looking at how

to make an event memorable, or how to make

consumer have an experience they can gain

from. Paying attention to the emotions of

consumers is very important and it is

theorised by creating a wheel of

emotions, which shows different types of

emotions that a consumer may feel and how

that will affect the person.

The method of communication in which you

present your organization with the change is

valuable to the acceptance of this processs

adjustment. The management team should

not introduce their intent without considering.

the receptive abilities of their team. In this

instance, verbally communicating your intent

in a group setting to include all employees is

recommended. It is suggested that

verbal communication provides clarity and

helps save time when providing a large group

with information. She believes that collective

open communication allows for spontaneous

questions, clarity, and allows for immediate

answers to be provided to ensure everyone

fully understands the way forward. Additionally, the rate of the motivation of the

employees will influence the process of

resourcing. When the staffs seem to need

motivation, it will be reasonable to invest more

in this area. Motivation may mean offering

rewards, job off days, salary increment, and so

forth. To achieve this objective, the business

should consider resourcing wisely. Motivation is a factor that cannot

be underrated as it helps staffs achieve their

set goals and enhances job satisfaction.

Furthermore, motivation enhances the self

development of staffs and resuts ina high

rate of production.
