  • Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) webpage at https://iedcr.gov.bd/for the most updated statistics on COVID-19 cases in Bangladesh.

  • As of July 23, the Government of Bangladesh will take legal action against those not wearing masks or social distancing. Since May 30, the Government of Bangladesh has made wearing masks and social distancing mandatory when outside the home. Public administrators in Khulna Division have instituted a fine of TK 4,000 for those not adhering to this order.

  • Restrictions to stop the spread of COVID-19 have been imposed until August 31. From 10:00PM to 05:00AM, no one will be allowed outside except for a medical emergency, to buy medical supplies, to go to work or to bury or cremate the dead.

  • The public transit system is running in a reduced capacity and will remain open if guidelines are followed.

  • Bazars, shops and shopping malls will open from 07:00AM to 08:00PM. They will conduct temperature screenings, provide hand sanitizer and spray disinfectant on vehicles
